I am a native of Cabell County, WV, born and raised, and a 1998 graduate of Marshall University with a BSN in nursing. I have been blessed with 3 children and 8 beautiful grandchildren.|
Of all the things I take pleasure with, genealogy is my passion. It has been my hobby for over 25 years. In 1997, I volunteered to coordinate the Cabell County, WVGenWeb at Rootsweb.com. I can't post the cemeteries I've read fast enough on FindAGrave.
Most of my entries on FAG were done before they added the update to link parents and spouse. I work on adding this information every day. Please DO NOT take the photos I've posted and add them to your family tree on Ancestry.com. These are my photos and taking them without my permission is stealing and against the law. Please do no post death certificate taken from WV Culture web site to my entries on FAG.

|Paul Clary||RE: Gallie R. Owens|
I'm sorry but I don't think I can be of much help concerning Gallie Owens burial at Dock's Creek Cemetery. A few years ago I surveyed the cemetery, photographing all the stones, and then transcribing the data into a database. It is this database that I used to create memorials for all the burials that had markers. I can now use my database to return to the graveyard to locate and photograph requests for Find a Grave. The problem I have is that if there is no marker, I have no record of the grave. There are MANY unmarked graves at Dock's Creek and I would assume that Mr. Owens grave might be among them.
For what it's worth, the caretaker/manager of the cemetery has told me that his records are not complete, and he gives me the impression that he doesn't want to help me locate graves unless I am a relative. Therefore, I am unable to assist others locate graves unless there is a marker.
I wish you success in confirming Gallie's entombment at this cemetery through some other means. If there is any other way I can help, please do not hesitate to contact me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org. (For some reason I no longer receive email notifications from Find A Grave).

Thanks so much for all your work. I've added grave markers and obits to Elsie & Pearl White duplicate memorials. Paula Karen Chapman White also has 2 memorials.

I changed the bio. That is a tough one. How would they get her month and year right for her birthday but not the day? Usually people get the year wrong. Thanks for the info. No relation here. I just worked on the tree.
