I am happy to transfer memorials to family members that are willing to maintain and hopefully, add to the memorials I have created. This includes all family members no matter how distant.

I am also happy to transfer memorials to non-family members who are maintaining and are adding information to (other than what is on the stone) the majority of the memorials in a particular cemetery within their county. For instance, I am involved in the physical restoration of one of the oldest cemeteries in Canton, Van Zandt Co., TX. I have many ancestors there, but I am trying to add biographies or at the very least a bit more information than can be found on just their stone to all the known burials in Hillcrest (aka Canton City Cemetery). This has been a very slow process, but very enjoyable since I am learning so much about the early settlers of this county!

Please note, I will transfer from Hillcrest Cemetery according to the FAG guidelines and if there is no relation to my family.

To request transfer of a memorial, please send a message using the edit tab. Include the memorial name & number, and your relationship, name & member ID. I will not transfer through the message area.

I would love to fulfill all photo requests, but find myself short on time a lot. However, my friend Tom Tyler takes awesome photos and goes out at least a couple of times a week.

I also volunteer at the Van Zandt County Library of Genealogy and Local History located in Canton, TX. We are open 6 days a week. If you are in need of research on one of your ancestors you can make a request by contacting us at [email protected] or 903-567-5012. There is never a charge unless copies are needed.
