I was born and raised in Oklahoma and now have returned there in retirement. I have a B.S. in Business and a M.S. in Industrial Engineering. I spent a lifetime in Federal service, first in the Air Force as a commissioned officer, retiring as a Colonel, as subsequently as a member of the Senior Executive Corps at the Pentagon. |
I have been actively involved in genealogy since childhood, and have continued that interest to the present time. I am a descendent of a Mayflower Pilgrim. I continue to work tenaciously on my own lines, always searching for some piece of information that I might not have, plus as a matter of courtesy, I have traced lines for hundreds of friends and acquaintenances, and I have worked with large numbers of military veterans to help preserve their history.
I am a strong advocate of the pursuit of family history for all people. We are the product of our ancestors, and therefore, I believe that it is important that we each preserve and share the unique story of our family. We can only fully understand who we are if we also understand from whom and from where we came.
The majority of my memorials are family members, and as the family historian, I would like to keep those. For the remainder, I generally follow the Find-A-Grave guidelines regarding the transfer of memorials, with some exceptions. Use the "Suggest a Correction" feature on the appropriate memorial to submit information or requests.

I have transferred Silas Clark and his wife to your care. My philosophy is to provide as much information on the memorials as possible to help their loved ones find them and further their knowledge of their family. I will consider transferring any memorial to anyone who is related or loves and will care for that memorial. We are all a team documenting information about the people we memorialize on Findagrave. I do not care about numbers. I care about sharing and getting as much information out there as possible. If I have any other memorials that will help you in your research for your family or those you are assisting, don't hesitate to contact me. Thank you for doing it through the edit tab. It makes it so much easier and quicker to fulfill a request.
Thank you for serving our great country. You are appreciated.

I found you thru memorials that Stan has created at the same cemetery that you have memorials, Cox. I went thru the contributors that have memorials also listed there and you caught my attention from the beginning! That is also how you will find Stan Metts, he has been a complete joy to work with and I am sure you will enjoy also!
You are welcome. Please keep sending though. Mary

Thanks for your help. Would you check and see if I now have it right? Seatons and Qualls are quite the tangled web!
|Caryn Hood||RE: Seaton Family|
I haven't looked at every one of them, but I looked at several and they have been transferred to the correct cemetery.
Thanks for your help.

I would be a distant cousin. I have him in my genealogy which is extensive. Which can be found here; http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=jharry&id=I2516.

Yes, life if good. Especially with all the genealogical mysteries left to solve. :-)

Thanks for your kind words. I was just wondering, Josie,a nursing friend of ours from way back also made Colonel and had a Pentagon assignment. Just wondered if you ever ran across Josephine M. Candella.
