I was born and raised in Oklahoma and now have returned there in retirement. I have a B.S. in Business and a M.S. in Industrial Engineering. I spent a lifetime in Federal service, first in the Air Force as a commissioned officer, retiring as a Colonel, as subsequently as a member of the Senior Executive Corps at the Pentagon. |
I have been actively involved in genealogy since childhood, and have continued that interest to the present time. I am a descendent of a Mayflower Pilgrim. I continue to work tenaciously on my own lines, always searching for some piece of information that I might not have, plus as a matter of courtesy, I have traced lines for hundreds of friends and acquaintenances, and I have worked with large numbers of military veterans to help preserve their history.
I am a strong advocate of the pursuit of family history for all people. We are the product of our ancestors, and therefore, I believe that it is important that we each preserve and share the unique story of our family. We can only fully understand who we are if we also understand from whom and from where we came.
The majority of my memorials are family members, and as the family historian, I would like to keep those. For the remainder, I generally follow the Find-A-Grave guidelines regarding the transfer of memorials, with some exceptions. Use the "Suggest a Correction" feature on the appropriate memorial to submit information or requests.

|Kim Factor||Henry Factor|
Henry was my grand father on my father's side. Lonnie and Bill were my uncles. My cousin and I were just aim OK for our tribe's annual meeting and visited Lonnie and Bill's grave sites at the Ladd Family plot. We, of corse, visited the Factor/Coplin grave sites as well. Thank you for posting this.
|fam2find||Felts Family Line|
My Felts line goes back through my grandmother LouElla Francis Felts, daughter of George D Felts (and Mary Elizabeth Nelson), son of Isham (Isom) Buell Felts and Susannah Brown.
George D was child #6 married to Mary Elizabeth Nelson; child of Susan Cooper and Joel Nelson. Is this clear as mud. I found your FindAGrave entry and was excited, to say the least. I have been searching since 1959 and still lost much of the time.
My Isham Buell Felts goes to William J Felts (1768) to Aaron P Felts and Mollie Collier; to William Felts and Sarah; William's parents were Humphrey Felts and Eleanor Francis and that is where I stop. I would appreciate some direction I might go from here.
Thank you so much for any hint I can obtain. Where did the Ladd come in at?

|Richard Moberly||Silas Clark and his wife|
I have transferred Silas Clark and his wife to your care. My philosophy is to provide as much information on the memorials as possible to help their loved ones find them and further their knowledge of their family. I will consider transferring any memorial to anyone who is related or loves and will care for that memorial. We are all a team documenting information about the people we memorialize on Findagrave. I do not care about numbers. I care about sharing and getting as much information out there as possible. If I have any other memorials that will help you in your research for your family or those you are assisting, don't hesitate to contact me. Thank you for doing it through the edit tab. It makes it so much easier and quicker to fulfill a request.
Thank you for serving our great country. You are appreciated.

I found you thru memorials that Stan has created at the same cemetery that you have memorials, Cox. I went thru the contributors that have memorials also listed there and you caught my attention from the beginning! That is also how you will find Stan Metts, he has been a complete joy to work with and I am sure you will enjoy also!
You are welcome. Please keep sending though. Mary
