Genealogy is a passion of mine. I've been at it for over 20 years. I thoroughly enjoy the investigative hours of pleasure that it brings. I am the "Family Historian" for my own family and have over 20 binders of family information and filing cabinets and boxes of research papers. I also a member of the Benton County Cemetery Preservation Group, Inc. of Benton County, Arkansas and the newly formed Washington County (Arkansas)Cemetery Preservation Group. Finding burial places poses a problem for researchers if their ancestors did not have a stone. That's why Findagrave is so wonderful. You can post where a loved one is buried and help the next researcher out in finding them. A great way to help out your fellow researchers. I also photograph tombstones in my area and am a volunteer for the Arkansas Gravestone Organization, Oklahoma Gravestones Organization, Missouri Gravestone Organization, Kansas Gravestone Organization, Tennessee Gravestone Organization and can photograph stones for Washington, Benton, and Madison counties in Arkansas, Adair, Cherokee, and Delaware counties in Oklahoma, Henderson Co., KY and McDonald Co., Missouri. Please send me your requests. I may already have your photos in my extensive collection. If I don't, I will go out and try to fulfill your request. Thanks!

Thank you for taking the photo of my 2nd great grandfather, Samuel Hager in the Black Oak Cemetery. I was wondering if you could tell me how best to get to the cemetery (from 265) and where in the cemetery his tombstone is located? I'm also interested in knowing the location of the tombstone for his daughter Eva Hager within the cemetery. Thank you! Amanda
Phagan cem. and Hico cem. Hello Mike, it's always great to correspond with a fellow historian. I'm wanting help in how to locate Phagan and Hico cemeteries of Arkansas. I'll be coming from Missouri in a few weeks and doing more research on former Yancy Mills, Phelps Co. Missourians; Susie (Wright) Powell at Phagan cem. and her brother Anthony Kitchen Wright buried at Oak Hill cem. and Anthony Wright's first wife; Sarah (Camp) Wright at Hico cem. I set a military monument for Anthony in Oak Hill cem. of Siloam Springs a couple years ago. He was in the 3rd Mo. Light Art. C.S.A. and later became a locally notorious bushwhacker in my neck of the woods, (Yancy Mills area) Anthony and Susan's father and brothers were murdered in Aug. 1865 by brutal pro-Federal militias, it's a big and tragic story that I and another writer put in a local history book a couple years ago. Thank you, Garrett Gabel email@example.com
