Bio

The city took over ownership ofTecumseh Cemetery in 1930 so the records after 1930 are fairly accurate. from 1920 to 1930 it was a Cemetery association and a trust before that roughly 1910-1920. It was ran by the Quaker Mission from 1871 to about 1910. In 1871 burials begun, the earliest recorded burial was in 1879. There are 176 unknown burials. I have completed identification of all the unmarked grave locations in Tecumseh Cemetery as of 21 August 2016. Plot locations in the Baby Section (2nd Addition Block 6) may show the same location for multiple internments this is due to dividing of adult graves in half for infants and children.
