Bio

I am the daughter of Nellie Ethelann Willis whose 1st husband was Homer Steaphen Swearngin. Homer is buried in Asbury Cemetery, Keytesville, Chariton County, MO but has no gravestone. Homer was not my father. My father was Elisha Howard Lair who was Nellie's 3rd husand. Nellie is buried in Jacksonville East Cemetery, Jacksonville, Morgan County, IL, and my father, Elisha Howard Lair is buried on the grounds of the Alton Mental Health Center in Alton, Madison County, IL. After both my parents died, the 4 children(including me) produced from their union were placed in an orphanage in 1951 and adopted to 3 different families--all in the Jacksonville, IL area. When I retired in 2001 I started the project of finding the burial locations for my family members. Since 2001 I have written 31 family genealogy books and my autobiography. Currently I am researching the Tuttle/Tuthill family as an on-going project for the next several years. I am in no way related to the Tuttle family I am currently researching.
