Bio and Links
Bio Photo Greetings!

A Find-a-Graver since the site's origins as the hit for notable graves--not genealogy--I do "Famous" bios, and photograph/write about old gravestones, cemeteries, and the people interred within for the general reader. Will cheerfully answer queries, make corrections, add data to the "Family Links" section, and include other relevant info ASAP. Please no requests to insert multiple hyperlinks in the narrative part of the bio or to transfer pre-1900 burials. Find-a-Grave members can always include any grave listed on the website in an ancestral or other type of grouping by using the "Virtual Cemetery" feature. If you wish to quote me or use my photos, please contact me; attribution for written pieces is "by Nikita Barlow, for Findagrave", and for photographs, "Photo by Nikita Barlow". Thanks for your cooperation, and happy graving!

I understand completely why you wish to see a photo. I have submitted a request for a photo of his monument - there are several volunteers who visit the Post Cemetery to fulfill requests.

In the meantime you might be interested in the photos found at this website:

I see what you mean. I will detach Elizabeth from John Francisco.

Thank you for your reply, however, I don't understand how you can honor a veteran if this John Francisco died prior to the war. I did not add the spouse and child. That is how I connected this John Francisco who would have died prior to the Revolutionary War.

RE: Joseph Tuttle #6082178
Thanks for correcting the Joseph Tuttle page. The Tuttles can be a confusing family as there are so many of them with the same names. There are several other listings where people are linked incorrectly. The other Joseph Tuttle page lists Joanna as his wife but she was really the wife of Joseph Jr. I'm trying work my through to get things straightened out...

First Presbyterian
My main source of reference is The Founders and Builders of the Oranges, 1666-1896. The main families I am reseaching are Harrison and Williams' families so when you get an edit from me, it is referenced.

RE: Photo requests
Thanks Nikita. I don't know the name of the website, but I would like to see it. Capt. Thomas Williams was our Thomas' uncle. As a matter of fact, my daughter is joining the DAR under his name. We were at this churchyard in 1995 and found our Thomas's wife, but not him so the stone has been missing at least that long. We even found his parents there. I wanted to mention that I do have documentation for several of the edits I sent, but I'd have to get it out again to tell you which book. Thank you so much for your assistance.

Photo Requests
Nikita, I have 5 requests for First Presbyterian, but I suspect there probably are no headstones. There are 4 Williams & 1 Dodd. Do you think you could take a look at them & let me know? Thank you.

Clarence Derwent - Walter Max Marx
Hi Nikita, I'm still pursuing the relationship between Clarence and my late cousin Walter Marx. I last posted here in April 2014.

At any rate, I'm wondering if you'd consider adding to Derwents bio something like the following .... born London as Harold Stanley David Wolff to a family of diamond merchants .... I found his birthday registration indexed, now to get a certificate, if available.

Kind regards,
