Bio

I am an avid genealogist enjoying not only research on my own family, but am willing to help others - if possible. James "Henry" McKinzie/McKenzie and first wife, Susan were my Great Great Grandparents.

I am the past Editor of the white River Valley Historical Society Quarterly and also the past head of the Historic Sites Survey Committee.
We are headquartered in Forsyth, Missouri.
Our goal is to preserve the history of the White River Valley (southwest Missouri, especially Taney County and Arkansas Ozarks) before it is lost. I solved a mystery in my Spaulding/Stuart family. Amos Spaulding and his wife, Loruhamah Cory Spaulding are parents of David C. Spaulding alias David Daniel Stuart and others. David C. and David Daniel have the exact same birth dates. With the help of D. D. Stuart's widow application for a pension from her husband's service in the Mexican War; Mexican War record; Ancestry.com; the Belchertown Historical Association; and Pat Bean, a friend that visited the Boston Archives and shared her finds -- we have important documents to prove it.
