I started at a young age with the interest for the dead. This photo was taken in about 1957 at the Aztec Ruins in New Mexico. I am on the left and my cousin Diane Quinn on the right.|
Researching my family history is one of the most important goals in my life. I feel we should all know as much about our ancestors as possible. Through my research I have been able to spend quality time with my sister, Sandra Bertram MEIER. Researching has brought lots of people into my life I would never have met otherwise. Let's all keep up the good work.
I have just come across my pictures on Ancestry.com that someone has used as their own. There is no mention of where the picture came from. This is ashame. For all of you that tramp through knee high grass, work in the hot Texas sun, and in the cold north wind, use your own gas and then try to find a tree big enough when nature calls, you know what I am talking about. Please if you want to use my pictures or anyone elses please have the decency to ask before posting and give credit where credit is due.
PLEASE NOTE - VERY IMPORTANT:

Since I am getting so many requests for transfers I have started using the findagrave guidelines for transfer. You do not need to own an ancestors memorial page to have a great memorial. I update them each day and will add to a memorial. Just use the edit button on the top right hand of the memorial to be edited.
New Editing Function
"FindaGrave has added a new editing function to all members. Check the 'Edit' tab on your profile page for pending edit requests for your memorials."
You currently have one or more such edit requests on your profile page. Most edit requests are no longer sent from FindaGrave with an email notice to the memorial creator/current manager. You have to go to your profile page and check the Edit tab to see the requests for additions or changes to your memorials.
Please check your profile page so that the requested edits can be processed. FindaGrave has made this change to facilitate rapid handling of multiple edit requests.

Greetings. If you look at memorial # 65084935, you can read more about the father of Juan Antonio: Antonio Clemente de los Santos Coy b.1799 d. 1891. Antonio Clemente was a Texas Ranger. There may be some clues for you. But you say that your Juan Coy died in 1891. The Juan Antonio Coy that I know about was born in 1842. As a 3 year old child, he was taken from his Lipan Indian mother and given to his aunt Maria Antonia De los Santos Coy to be raised. She was married to Rumaldo Perez. It might have been customary for children of Indian women to be raised by other family members because the Lipan Indians were not considered to be "respectable."

I saw you have many requests for photos at this cemetery. I live not far from there and plan on going up there to see if I can find any of the requests for photos, including several of yours.
With some luck, it's a large cemetery, I will be sure to try and fill your requests.

You have Lizael as being buried at the Heards Prairie Cemetery. I'm sorry, but I show no record of her being buried there. The picture that you have listed for her is at the Owensville Cemetery, Robertson County, Texas.
This is the FG# listed for Lizadel at Owensville Cemetery. FG#:29021969
Thank you for the hard work that you do. I really appreciate it.

Yes, I have the death certificate too. If you will notice the informant is "medical records."
I am trying to find out if Robert and Vivian were related to him but so far all the census records and one of his cousins confirm his parents were Dempsey and Melvina.

Thanks for letting me know about the wife of David B. Whitt and that she is buried at the Tow Cemetery in Llano County. I contacted the person who has her site at Bagdad Cemetery and hopefully they will make the correction.
