I live in Iowa and love doing genealogy and have been working on my history since 1985 but learn more all the time. I have added some memorials to FG and I know I have made some mistakes so just let me know and I'll gladly correct them.|
Scranton Township Cemeter...

Hi Betty, I noticed you have more requests in the same cemetery and just wanted to let you know that we will continue to work on getting photos of those as well. This is an area we travel passed generally once a month or so; as long as the weather holds, we'll try to get more taken when we get in the area again.

I don't know, I could never find anything but Alma E. or just Alma, she never used her middle name.

Yes, all of the children are correct to my knowledge. Sarah Storey was the daughter of my GG aunt Mary Mullins Storey. For two days I have been researching her descendants. Thank you for posting information on Find A Grave.
|WCGS||Myron Piltingsrud - Our Savior's|
You have Myron Piltingsrud on Find A Grave buried in Our Savior's Cemetery, but his grave actually is in the Vinje Cemetery in Callender, IA. There is confusion about the names as there are 3 cemeteries in one area (Saron)Swedish,(Vinje) Norwegian, and the town of Callender) plus an old Swedish cemetery out in the country that was called Our Savior's. The Swedes & Danes went together in town & call their church "Our Savior's Lutheran. Some of the records on Find A Grave are confusing because of this. Can you transfer your family info to that other record?

Thanks Betty, I could not find the obituary since she had moved to Audubon so it took me awhile. You will also see Deloris added as a link when the person that owns the memorial gets around to doing it. I am still doing some research about Bette etc. Anyway thanks again for the updates and I hope you are enjoying your summer Karl

Great! I'll post that picture now. Wouldn't it be strange to find a family connection here? My husband's family (The Clarks) have been in this area for quite a long time. Small world, huh? Glad I could help.
|Colleen Clark||Requests for Osceola Cemetery|
Hi Betty, We searched today for the graves that you have listed in Osceola Cemetery in Elmira, IL. We could not find Jane Ford-Turnbull at all. We also did not find Ruth Forbes, but we did find Bernice Forbes with the same birth and death dates. Could this be the same person? The Douglass headstone is barely readable but I did take a few pictures anyway. The same goes for Henry Carpenter, but I was able to make out the dates on his stone. His birth is listed as Nov. 15, 1805 (Yours says 1906, a typo, I'm sure) His death is listed as July 25, 1871. We also found Herbert Ford. I will add the pictures for Douglas, Ford and Carpenter, but will wait to hear from you before I post Ruth Forbes. Hope this helps.

I can only say that I have no idea what you're talking about. The only thing I can think of is that there may have been duplicate cemeteries somewhere that got merged. If that is the case, I didn't do anything, but some of the Admins might have.
If you want me to transfer any that I manage to you, just let me know and I'll be glad to do so. I hope we can get this straightened out, whatever it is.
Betty, Is this Betty Jean Signal Miller? I am the one that added the information about Francis(Speed). He was my grandmother Mildred's brother. Karl Stratemeyer is my name (strato)
