Shortly after the Moravian Church in the small town of Aurelia, ND. closed in the early 70's, an association was formed to look after the cemetery.|
It was renamed the Aurelia Community Cemetery. I was elected to the board a few years later when one of the original members died. About ten years ago I helped my sister work on our family tree and now when I found Find A Grave, I realized how helpful it could have been.
This information was mostly taken from the tombstones at cemeteries I have visited, with some added from our family tree and ND death index files. I also get information from the Mouse River Loop Genealogy Society, of which I am a member. Most of these cemeteries are located in northwestern North Dakota.
With over 75,000 names in about 675 cemeteries, I'm sure I have made some mistakes. If anyone finds any errors or has more information let me know.I have photos (about 60,000) of the markers of most of the graves added in the last few years. I do not have time to add all these pictures but if someone requests one I will gladly add it if I have one. Please put Find A Grave in subject line.
Most of the obituaries I have added are from local funeral homes or old newspapers with their permission. All pictures that I have added were taken by me personally.

Tremendous guilt here - went on this Find A Grave site a while back and did not follow up. You checked on Johnsons in Burlington ND and I see there are some added in your virtual cemetery. Will take a look at my family file to get up to speed again. Believe my request or question related to the great great aunt Mary who married a Johnson and was out in Burlington/Minot (started out as an Larsson/Lidman and family was from Sweden).
and so sorry I did not get back to site and reply originally.
Thanks again Herb! for the transfers, and all the photos of all the Hance family members! your work is greatly appreciated!

Thank you so much for the work you have done & are still doing. I'm not a direct line descendant but by a marriage. I'm working to complete my husband's tree. Ernest aunt Agnes Marsh married Philo Harvey Chase about 1904. Philo is a fraternal Grand Uncle to my husband. I am working on Agnes (Marsh) Chase's 4 generations. Thank you so much for transferring the Marsh family members to us. I'm doing my best to up date their memorials & will maintain them. I have a granddaughter who has shown an interest & I hope she would take over after I've passed on.
I promise to pass the Marsh family to anyone who proves a closer relationship then ours. Thank you again. We wish a safe & enjoyable time with your work. Have a great weekend coming up. Take care & God bless.

I believe John Frisch was the spouse of Elizabeth [Foley] Frisch and father of Thomas J., James F., and William Frisch - all of whom are also burried in Saint Marys Cemetery, Lignite, Burke County, North Dakota, USA.

I am a Vermont Civil War buff, and am working on a project to identify the last resting places of many of our "old Soldiers" that had ties to Vt. George H. Soules is one such patriot. May I use the photos that you have contributed to his memorial page, to post on the Vt.C.W. site? (www.vermontcivilwar.org)
You would be credited for this.
