Shortly after the Moravian Church in the small town of Aurelia, ND. closed in the early 70's, an association was formed to look after the cemetery.|
It was renamed the Aurelia Community Cemetery. I was elected to the board a few years later when one of the original members died. About ten years ago I helped my sister work on our family tree and now when I found Find A Grave, I realized how helpful it could have been.
This information was mostly taken from the tombstones at cemeteries I have visited, with some added from our family tree and ND death index files. I also get information from the Mouse River Loop Genealogy Society, of which I am a member. Most of these cemeteries are located in northwestern North Dakota.
With over 75,000 names in about 675 cemeteries, I'm sure I have made some mistakes. If anyone finds any errors or has more information let me know.I have photos (about 60,000) of the markers of most of the graves added in the last few years. I do not have time to add all these pictures but if someone requests one I will gladly add it if I have one. Please put Find A Grave in subject line.
Most of the obituaries I have added are from local funeral homes or old newspapers with their permission. All pictures that I have added were taken by me personally.

I am a Vermont Civil War buff, and am working on a project to identify the last resting places of many of our "old Soldiers" that had ties to Vt. George H. Soules is one such patriot. May I use the photos that you have contributed to his memorial page, to post on the Vt.C.W. site? (www.vermontcivilwar.org)
You would be credited for this.
Thank you for your consideration.

Hi Herb -
Thanks for writing. I think you are the first to "thanks" for attachments. I really don't need thanks but appreciate it more when I get them. Also wanted to thank yo for pointing out the Headlee's in Johnson Cemetery. I did not have their children (4th cousins, one removed) in my Family Tree. I do now and yes, I do have interest in the Headlee/ey surnames as my great grandmother was a Headlee. The Headlee/ey are the second largest number of surnames in my Family Tree, second only to the Hartley surnames. A little over 800 for the Headlee's/ey's.
Needless to say, I've used your photos in my tree and given you the credit for taking them. I also try and remember to leave a flower/token showing my relationship. You'll note I did in 2015 for Theodore's parents, which bring me to ask a question for you. In all three of these photos that you posted back in 2006 (I think) you added the temporary marker. Now 10 years later, has some family member added the permanent headstone? I'm only guessing the answer is no, or you would have posted them. Would like to hear from you on this.

Purl and Clara Jones were my grandparent and I would be happy to have their memorials (#10208004 and #10208003) transferred into my care. I have obituaries and additional information for their date of births that I can add to the memorials once they are transferred. Thank you for the photo of the gravestone. Let me know if you need more information from me.
