Shortly after the Moravian Church in the small town of Aurelia, ND. closed in the early 70's, an association was formed to look after the cemetery.|
It was renamed the Aurelia Community Cemetery. I was elected to the board a few years later when one of the original members died. About ten years ago I helped my sister work on our family tree and now when I found Find A Grave, I realized how helpful it could have been.
This information was mostly taken from the tombstones at cemeteries I have visited, with some added from our family tree and ND death index files. I also get information from the Mouse River Loop Genealogy Society, of which I am a member.Most of these cemeteries are located in northwestern North Dakota.
With over 75,000 names in about 675 cemeteries, I'm sure I have made some mistakes. If anyone finds any errors or has more information let me know.I have photos (about 60,000) of the markers of most of the graves added in the last few years. I do not have time to add all these pictures but if someone requests one I will gladly add it if I have one. Please put Find A Grave in subject line.
Most of the obituaries I have added are from local funeral homes or old newspapers with their permission. All pictures that I have added were taken by me personally.

|Debbie||Spouse Error Message|
Unfortunately, this error message is showing up again when I try to add parent links and the spouse id number is already linked... any ideas on how to submit this to Find a Grave?
We can not proceed because of the reason(s) listed below. Please press the back button in your browser, correct the problem(s) and try again.
There is already a submitted correction that will link this person as a spouse to memorial# 7557523. When we receive spouse information for a person, we automatically generate a link on their spouse's page, too, so there is no need to submit a relationship link for both spouses.

I was adding photos to the St. Peter Cemetery, Benson County, ND and while trying to connect him to his father I inadvertently typed 41017523 instead of 41017563. It wouldn't let me correct my error. Sorry. Curt
|Debbie||RE: Find A Grave memorials|
Sorry it has taken me awhile to respond to you. You're certainly welcome, Herb. I understand that it takes a lot of time to research. I have not willingly removed spouses. The only thing I can attribute this is to a glitch with the relationship info within Find a Grave. Sometimes I get an error message, while other times I don't. This occurs when the spouse link is already present, and I try to add the parents. I get a message in red text stating that I can't add the SPOUSE link "again". So then I have to remove the spouse's memorial number, in order to proceed with the updates. Hope this makes sense. Thank you for catching those spouses and adding them back in. Hopefully you haven't received any of those lately?? Otherwise, this is something Find A Grave should address. It has not been happening lately, so maybe they have already fixed it...
re: Find A Grave memorials
Thanks for all the edits that you add to memorials that I have added. I simply do not have the time to do the research to add these. The only problem that I have is when you remove spouses. Often these are folks that I knew were married (a couple were even part of my family). These are the only edits that I check and have to add the spouses back.

The year of birth is 1863 not 1883. Look closely at the stone in the ground. Her obituary also gave her age as 80 years.
|Marta Vaillancourt||Jacobson, Martin and Elbinnie|
Could you please tie Elbinnie JACOBSON (11159866) to her husband Martin Jacobson in the Mohall Cemetery.
|BB||Peder Nilson Huset|
I was looking for my great-great-grandfather, who I believe to be Peder Nilson Huseth, and discovered that you have created duplicate memorials for him. The two memorial numbers are: 11873678 and 11873679
I was hoping that someone could take a photo of his grave stone, but sadly it's been nearly a year and no one has claimed my request :-(
