Thank you for the photographs of my great-great uncle and aunt's tombstones. I've been taking requested photos for about two years, but never requested any myself. Now I understand why people are so grateful for the pictures. Once again thank you so very much.

RE: Rose E O Ross
Very interesting. And puzzling. I too had wondered about that photo but have never been to the cemetery. It surprised me that the large altar like stone was gone & from what I know of the burials (or rather the people who were buried) I was surprised they were grouped as they are. There was a deep fracture in the family after the Chicago Fire & so there are still 19 burial plots. I recently updated cemetery records to show the appropriate seven descendants of Augustus Ross, our g-grandfather. My cousin sent the photo in a packet with other Green-Wood data. I will call her. All other families on mom's side were small town mid-westerners. I appreciate your thoughts & expressions & will get back to you.

Thank you for photo of fallen stone and all of the information surrounding it. I will get in touch with Greenwood cemetery and ask if they could lift the stone. If and when the stone is back in place may I call upon you again for a new photo of stone? I'm curious to see what is engraved on the front. Thank you so much Bob for your time and patience in seeking out such old grave sites.
My sincere gratitude,

Rose Oesterle Ross
You have thoughtfully placed photos for my Ross family in Green-Wood, using the same scene for each memorial. I would appreciate placement of the photo at the memorial for Rose Oesterle Ross, #134141927. It is the photo at the Nathaniel Ross memorial #58366994. Recently I placed a photo taken in 1925 by my grandfather when he buried his father, Augustus. It shows there were many stones. I found the photo with hundreds in a box & recognized the shape of the stone only because of your work. Thank you!

Bob,
I very much appreciated your efforts in documenting the information on the near-buy stones.

RE: Judson George Brown
Well, thanks for the info anyway. I did not realize that the newspaper said Georgie and I thought it said George until you corrected me on this. I always want to have the correct information. I feel as if these people are like family to me.
