Sergeant Walter George Kirby Walter George Kirby was born in June 1923 in Oxfordshire, England, the child of Sidney and LILIAN Florence Kent. He died on March 26, 1943, at the age of 19.RAF Volunteer Reserve. Lilian was firstly married to Montague Hemmings who sadly died in the great War. Could not trace any more information on Sidney Kirby, but Lillian passed away 23 Nov 1958 • Central Middlesex Hospital, England. Would be very pleased to hear if there is any more research to be found. Thank you Brian H
I have an interest with RAF Bomber Command during WW2 and wondered if you are related to Sgt Kirby? He was a flight engineer killed while on an air test.I have further information about him and the crew.
photos - East Rockingham Cemetery Hi Cath, I've received the following message and thought I'd share it with you, given that you're the one that has added the photos.
"On the page for Leonard Heggie it has "calculated relationship" listed for Dorothy Heggie. I would like to confirm that she was his wife, Leonard and Dorothy are my grandparents. I would also like to say thank you for putting the photos on the page. I didn't know where they were for quite some time and it meant a lot to be able to see the memorial and know I can find them again. thanking you and kindest regards Lissa"
