Greetings from Holland, Michigan - the Tulip City!|
It's always been important to me to remember my loved ones. Fate led me here many years ago and allowed me to enter friends and family members.
My Husband and I aren't doing as much requests as we used to but if my current entries have any inaccuracies please let me know.
I will also transfer any entries I have entered to family members without hesitation if you are related to them. I see no need to keep family members apart and neither should anyone else. I know what the F.A.G. rules are but I'm not a stickler. Just don't ask for any of my direct relatives.
I would like to acknowledge Hope College and it's work with the Joint Archives of Holland for its amazing work in keeping up the accuracy of Holland's history and her pioneers.
* Important Reminder!*

Thank you so very much for the transfer of Arvilla and for the most kind and heartfelt sentiments on this Godly woman. I hope I can do them, and you, justice. I will try my best. I was really touched by your words, it's impressive that two people who lived and died more than a hundred years ago are still affecting the lives of people who get to know them in this century.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart

Hi Leigh Ann, I'd like to ask your permission to use these 2 photos for a tree I'm working on for my friend who is their 2nd great grandson,
|Barbara Hemmingsen||Daniel K. Bush|
Would you please contact me privately to discuss the descendants of Sgt Bush, your ancestor? He fought with my g, g grandfather in the Civil War. Thank you, Barbara

Hello Leigh Ann,
Would you please give me permission to use the grave photos you took for William #63833865 & Martha #63833829 on 5/30/2011 so I can add them to my family tree on ancestry.com? Of course I will give you credit. It would be greatly appreciated!
|Henk Smidtman||RE: Engbert Van Der Kolk.|
he's baptized van der Kolk, the 'van der' are just prepositions (from the) and when coming to the US they became more part of the name and you get different spellings like Vanderkolk, VanDer Kolk, etc.
But I'm still curious, did you make this picture on purpose so that the text on the site could be read?
|Sandy Vandertol||RE: Thomas Lucas|
Hi Leigh Ann,
Will you take a look at your page and see the other one with the tombstone photo? Is it possible to call E. Saugatuck Cemetery and see if Thomas Lucas is really buried there? If he is, then you have him without a headstone listed in the wrong cemetery in New Gronigen.
Don't you just hate it when you have a list with errors in it? I think I trust a cemetery photo of a tombstone over a list that can contain many errors. Obviously the man can't be in 2 places at once unless he was supposed to go to the one and got transferred or moved to the other. It's a mystery to me. Thanks for your reply!
