My name is Herbert Gootee, I'm getting old and my time is running shorter by the day.
My Father's ancestors arrived in this country in the 1600s and my Mother's ancestors were here to greet them. So I am a Proud Citizen of America and the Cherokee Nation.
It is a real struggle to find all ancestors and can't be done alone as you may know.
Some of the names I search for are Gootee (with many different spellings), Feather Cherokee with and without a "S", Fields, Randall ( with many spellings also), Gillispie, Raper, Powell, and Moore. Really too many names to list here.
I try my best to answer any and all messages and help with any way I can.
