Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hi all.
I am the Volunteer Admin for Spring Grove Cemetery in Cincinnati Ohio.
I am the caretaker of all AUTOGRAVR records. I am NOT autogravr. We are trying to fix them with a wonderful group of volunteers. The records are in Spring Grove Cemetery in Cincinnati Ohio and Lake View Cemetery in Cleveland. There are roughly 270,000.

Please use the EDIT tab to send changes. Please use the drop down menus in the EDIT process to send dates, places of birth/death, marker transcriptions, family links, plots, GPS.
I run the update process roughly 2 to 3 times a day. Only use direct email for mass transfers.
I still have to do transfers, bio updates and note updates. Please send mass transfers by email but please give me your profile id and the record id's you want .
*********************************************
I need to clarify something. If you have researched lots of memorials, I, now, don't have to transfer them to you for updates. The bulk of the changes can be input using the EDIT TAB PROCESS. If you are family, then yes, I will transfer. But, not if you just did the research and want to fill the memorials in. The exceptions are my volunteers. But, yes, I do have to fill in the bios and the notes.
*********************************************
If you are using springgrove.org as your source, please let me know if there are discrepancies between the burial information, the index list and/or the marker. I can get many changes done by The Spring Grove Foundation but I can't catch them all. Thanks for the help.

LOOK OUT FOR DUPLICATES!!!
The autogravr program created all kinds of duplicates. If you have one let me know. We are finding as many as we can but aren't able to find all of them. Make sure I am the manager on one of them. I can't submit a merge otherwise.

I have to merge duplicates with the original good record. I have no choice. I don't like this solution but Ancestry.com is giving me no alternative. I can't delete autogravr records directly because I'm not the original owner. You will see ******** in the bio section of identified duplicates.

The URL on the autogravr spring grove records is being ALTERED. I am trying to leave the interment id but I do not want any URL's out there as url locations change. I will not respond to email telling me that the URL doesn't work or isn't permitted, not per Find A Grave Guidelines, etc ,other than to say "read my profile". It hasn't worked in what is going on 4 years. I DID NOT PUT IT OUT THERE. THE AUTOGRAVR PROGRAM DID.

Transfers are being made in the order received. I do have my volunteers out there making changes. If you request a transfer in a lot that is being worked, your transfer will be held up until memorial is complete. I may ask for proof or other substantiation if I suspect record collection.

I will read Obituaries sent to me and I will put the text in the bio if short. Please provide the text for long obits. I will Not accept links to other websites , census dumps, birth certificate dumps, death certificate dumps or any other input. I know that findagrave.com doesn't want this but obits are a great source of family info.

Census records are not always accurate. If we have a discrepancy between the burial records on springgrove.org and the census, burial records rule. I need to see a birth or death certificate as verification to change dates. We do allow dates on markers to overrule the burial records however inaccurate they may be because people send me changes complaining that the memorial dates and marker dates don't match.

Please be aware that on memorials that haven't been fixed yet, the year of death may be wrong. This is because the autogravr program put the last year known which is the interment year. This is not always equal to the death year.

All records for all burials prior to October 22, 2011 in Lake view Cemetery, Cleveland OH and Spring Grove Cemetery are for the most part already added. Please do not add any records for burials for those dates until you've checked to see if they already exist. Ask if you can not find them.

I'm the daughter of Alfred C. and Mary Virginia Prout Berndsen. They are buried in Spring Grove Cemetery in Cincinnati OH which I take care of for FindaGrave. My husband Ken is the son of George and Ann Marie Brinza Jacko.

I have added relatives from Wendelman. Papner, Berndsen, Dohme, Prout, Fitzpatrick, Wessel (a family history I'm struggling with at the moment) and others from my mother's side of the family. I am from Cincinnati, Ohio originally.

My husband's family are the Brinzas (Brindzas), Jackos.

I have added records of persons that are in my family or related to them or at least I know something about them. As I find factual information I try to add it. I do check to make sure someone else hasn't done this already.

I am a musician, gardener, photographer, I am reading Christian, Hindu and Buddhist literature and devotional reading as well as mystery fiction. I'm also active in dog rescue organizations.

It's important to remember people in your past because this website may be the only record that they existed. Every life deserves recognition and respect.

Hey Patti,

You're more than welcome to use any of photos, here or on Ancestry. I respect that you ask first, most people unfortunately don't.

RE: thank you for the picture
Hi Patti, no problem, you could add her plot information to her memorial, Sunrise Garden Plot 285 #3 and request the photo again in the spring and probably get a better photo. I did clean it the best I could but it has been so wet here and it looked like it had been underwater at one time. I also took a picture of Walter's and another Elsasser, I can create the memorials later and then transfer them to you if you want.
