Roswell Emmons Thayer (1825-1900) (#147235397)
The Elyria Reporter of Wed 31 Oct 1900 (quoting the Wellington Enterprise) says "The burial was conducted by Hamlin Post, G.A.R., and the remains were placed in the South cemetery." Not sure which "South cemetery" that is; maybe South Murray Ridge Cemetery?

Sheldon Thayer, Toledo OR burial
Chewaucan is the correct spelling for the newspaper. Thanks for correcting this. Do you know how long he practiced in Paisley and why they moved from Toledo to Paisley? A friend has a bottle of medicine that he prescribed. Cannot read the patients name nor name of drug. the bot says he was originally buried here in Paisley. Do you know when he was removed to Toledo? I keep data on the cemetery and would love to know more about this family. If possible where his burial actually was in the Paisley Cemetery. The records burned in 1977. We have maps and have reconstructed records from those maps. But, much is missing. Thank you so much. Diane Elder
