I took a break for a while, but I'm ready to get back into helping this website I've been a part of for almost 13 years.|
I came to Find A Grave several years ago to add my cousin Jessica Keen. Even though I had not seen her since we were little, her death marked my life in several different ways. I felt that she deserved a special place all her own where people could pay their respects. I didn't know that when I added Jessica I would be adding my mom a few years later (Deborah Ann Brown Ashley). I have always had a fascination with tombstones and cemeteries. To me going to a cemetery is like visiting an art museum. I enjoy taking pictures, I enjoy learning about the individuals whose bodies lay beneath us. If you need pictures from a Colorado area cemetery I would be more than happy to assist!
I welcome any corrections!!!
A special thank you to those who have left comments. Very appreciated!!!
Near and dear to my heart:
Jessica Lyn Keen
Deborah Ann Ashley

|Ron West||Photo Requests at Evergreen Cemetery|
Hi Ami, Welcome back! I just want to give you some heads up on the photo requests you accepted at Evergreen and Fairview cemeteries recently.
For all of the Evergreen and one of the Fairview requests (Mais) there are no headstones to be found. I know this because I spent Saturday morning looking for them. I don't want you to feel like you wasted your time looking for them so may I suggest something to you. Please take a look at memorial #34812251 for William Flowers. This is a photo request that I completed yesterday of a no headstone site and it shows what I give the requester when I can't give them what they want. It seems to make people happy enough still.
For future requests at Evergreen, I wanted to let you know also that 95+ percent of those requested will have no headstone. Evergreen has been extremely well photographed and unless it is a recent burial of the last 3 three years or a duplicate memorial, odds are that you will not find what you seek. That is why I started doing those requests like I did for Mr. Flowers.
I don't want to discourage you from going to Evergreen, by all means, please do but, I also didn't want you to feel like you accomplished nothing. Hence, the reason I am writing.

This is a very large cemetery with all flat markers. If you could call the office and find the location of this burial we would be glad to look for it. We can only ask for three locations without being charged. 740-452-2236

Thanks for checking on the grave for Angelica Mines. I will have to check into it a bit to find out where she is actually buried.

Hello Ami: Thanks so much for posting my great-great grandmother's burial site on Find A Grave. I have a plethora of information to add for her...many children's grave site to attach. Would you please transfer maintenance of her site to me? Thanks again for all your work on behalf of Find A Grave and all of us who are left behind. Best wishes, Linda Myers
|Eric Jacobson||My dads grave|
Thank you. My dad died in November 24, 2001 and the last time I went to his grave was over 3 years ago. Because of what you have done I can see him every day. I heard the song on the back of his grave today and cried for the first time in a long time. I can't tell you how much I needed to see his grave. I hope this finds you well.

I saw the story on TV tonight about your cousin, Jessica. I know it's been several years, but please accept my sympathies. I'm glad they caught the murderer. Just know she's in a wonderful safe place now.
