Bio and Links
Bio Photo Remember - there is a story under every tombstone. I am working to see that these people are not forgotten. When my dear friend Rabbi Moshe Kushner z"l, heard of our work to memorialize the departed, he said "Todah. Really a big Yasher Koach." Little did we know that we would soon be memorializing him as well. NOTE: If you want a memorial page transferred to you, just ask. I almost always transfer when asked. ALSO: I give my blanket permission for any of the photographs I have taken and posted on Find A Grave to be used for any non-commercial purpose. Enjoy the photos - that's why I took them!

RE: Blanc Grave Photos
Thanks for the kind words, Jim!
It sure helps when the weather is as sunny as it has been today. I live about 15 minutes south of San Francisco where it's about 58 d. whereas the East Bay (Oakland to Sacramento) reach the triple digits at the same time ..... and no humidity out here ... ever! Had enough of that on the East coast .....

Memorial # 79297662
Jim, I am research the Kehm family in Chicago and I stumbled upon the above memorial. Just a question - in your photo, the dates are 1811-1845, yet you list her as a child of parents who were born after her. And you listed her dates as 1911 and 1945 in the text of the memorial. Do you know which dates are correct? I do have Kehms buried in RoseHill, but right now O don't think these are any that are related to me.

Thanks much,
Carole Oetke Townsend

Hortance Felsenthal #162313920
Hi Jim,

Thank you so much for transferring Hortance's memorial to my care, and updating memorials for Etta Felsenthal and Alfred Daniel Mandelbaum.

It is so exciting to me to learn so much more about my Odenbach, Germany, 3rd great-grandfather, Jacob Felsenthal's, descendants. My research has meant extra work for you, and other kind Find A Grave contributors. For that I am sorry.

God Bless,
Maurene

David Samuel Felsenthal #162311776 and Carrie Goodman Felsenthal #162311759
Dear Jim,

Thank you so much for transferring David and Carrie Felsenthal's memorials to my care, and for taking wonderful photos of their headstones and posting them on their memorials.

David was a grandson of Jacob Felsenthal 1809-1886. Jacob emigrated to the USA from Odenbach, Germany, in the mid 1850s, and is the eldest ancestor of all the Felsenthal's in the USA.

Most every Jew in Odenbach was related to one another in one form or another. Some family remained in Odenbach and perished in the Holocaust. This coming October 30 the citizens of Odenbach will be dedicating a memorial to the Odenbach Jews who perished. I am currently looking for, and notifying Jacob Felsenthal descendants to share this information.

Thank you again for the transfers and headstone photos.

God Bless,
Maurene
