I have posted about 40 cemeteries but since findagrave is now owned by ancestry I do not plan to add any more cemeteries to this website. As of today, Sept. 29, 2014 I have notified findagrave that I don't want to do updates anymore. They can tend to it.

Feel free to use any photo's I have posted.

Any information found online should be verified. People DO post incorrect information sometimes.

I am not related to most entries I have made.

To all my "friends" it has been a pleasure meeting you.

Thank you for posting his grave photo. I went up to where his parents are buried (four hour drive from Des Moines, IA). Found out when I went on this web site, that his father is the son of my grt-grt-grandfather Israel Howard's brother, Samuel. ( Israel is my maternal grandfathers' grandfather). Again thanks for your hard work.

Thanks for all!
Hi Karen, don't blame you for feeling you've done your part. I did put up dates etc for Yvonne Yngve in Cambridge Union Cemetery. She was a friend of my mother's when they lived at McGregor and it was so sad when she died so young. She used to write to my mother on her "good" days. So don't know if you're still doing those or someone else is, but thanks so much for posting! Sandra

RE: Gary Wayne Peterson
Thanks Karen,
You are certainly correct, Peterson, especially in MN is a very common name, I've met/know many in my life. Gary Wayne Peterson, at least on Find a grave is buried in Oakwood Cemetery in Kanabec County, the town is Mora MN. The Virtual Wall website Born/died match the grave stone, the family could have been formerly from Mora, then moved to St. Paul PArk, MN. But I talked to Gary Peterson in the summer of 1966 when I worked in a Hardware store in Cottage Grove, don't recall if I talked to him of his being or going into the military. Drafting was common and even I was to be drafted in 1970. HE had a brother Greg or Craig, I thought, both were in the boys scouts, so was I for a while. That is where I originally knew him/them. Well I will ask about, thank you for your return.

Gary Wayne Peterson
Dear Sun shinetoo,
You at one time placed a memorial for Gary W. Peterson on find a grave. I see now you just added it and don't manage it. I was just inquiring as to whether you knew him or not. The Virtual Wall for Vietnam vets says he entered or was a resident of St. Paul Park, MN. I thought I knew who he was but over time someone placed a photo of him on the memorial and is not the Gary Peterson that I thought I knew. Also, if he was a resident of St. Paul Park MN why was his remains placed in Mora or Kanabec county? I understand you probably only just photo'd the grave site and entered it on Find a grave, I just thought I would ask. Tom Reece placed the photo and I will see what he says about the photo.

Thank you,

rfsdunn of find a grave

Thank you
I just want to say thank you for all your hard work and sharing your photos. I too am a little disappointed in how people act on findagrave and that ancestry took over. It's all owned by the Mormon church. I had to remove some of my photos because people were getting ridiculous about sharing. Take care.
