Bio

Researching personal family histories as an addictive hobby since 1981.

Gained professional status in 2000 while managing a genealogical and historical records center in a city library until 2012.

Built two databases of well over 135,000 individuals connected to our families and localities. Now retired and back to personal research.

Please be mindful that tombstone inscriptions do not always reflect truthful information. Dates may be off. Given birth names can be interchangeable between first and middle or often a nickname is used. Surname inscriptions are often in variant form or misspelled from the choice usage during that individual's lifetime. This can be true of any resource so research is always a necessity.

I have an extensive collection of obituaries, funeral notices and funeral reports which I have personally extracted from various newspapers.

Typing them as a text document for the bio section (and sending them to managers) is way too time consuming and many mistakes could easily be made in doing so.

These documents are just too invaluable not to share in their original form therefore I have decided to incorporate these onto Find-A-Grave memorials as a .jpg photo. I have added the newspaper source, date and page so the information is credited, findable, and above all, neat and attractive to the memorial.

Please feel free to utilize any work I post, as sharing is essential to the genealogist. If we don't bestow, eventually the information slips away. My hope is that all will appreciate the effort and that this decision helps you in your research.
