|Historian||Lt. Bridwell McKnight|
This marker should be written as "Bridwell McKnight".
Added a lengthy note regarding Navy service and circumstances of his loss at Tacloban Field, Leyte, Philippines in the crash following an in-flight aerial collision of his R4D-5 with a smaller Army LI-5 at the end of the run way on that day. All 21 crew and passengers lost. His was a regular evacuation flight between Leyte and the Admiralty Islands during that time on the part of the Navy Air Transport Service, VR-13.
