Resides in Howard County, MD. My own family research has led me to many graveyards and cemeteries, where I obtain transcriptions. I also extract information from newspaper obituaries. My postings at FindaGrave or Ancestry.com are intended solely to help people locate the grave of a relative or friend. |
If you find an error, or have additional information, please email it to me. I am more than happy to make corrections or additions to any of my listings.

Are you related in anyway to the Burton's? I am asking because my Grandmother was Elsie Mae Burton. Her mother was Lillie Mae Burton. My ancestor is Clifford Burton. But I have traced my Burton's back to this lady who was married to William Eller Burton. But William Eller Burton was also married to Lucretia Walker. If you aren't related to the Burton's would you mind if I took over the management of this grave?

Are you related to the Scatchard's, buried in Ivy Hill Cemetery in Philadelphia, Pa? If so, I would be more than happy to transfer them all to you.
Thank you for the information on Bertha and Charles. It has been added. I added your name as the contributor of the information. If you'd like your name removed, please let me know. Thanks again,

|Paul & Sherida Hodel||Isaac & Silas Mille, El Dorado Co, CA|
In regards to the changes you have suggested on these two memorials:
Isaac Miller died in Mud Springs. That is the old name. It is now and has for many years been the town of El Dorado. That, and the fact that Find A Grave doesn't list "Mud Springs" is the reason his place of death is listed as El Dorado. If anyone was trying to look for him in "Mud Springs", they would probably not know where that place is unless they are a local. It is listed on his memorial that place of death was "Mud Springs", so that should keep everyone on the correct page.
For Silas Miller, do you have any source to back up his place of death as Placerville?
Thank you for helping me get these two memorials accurate. Paul Hodel
|GG||West Grove Friends Cemetery|
Thank You for assisting with family connections at West Grove Friends Cemetery. I have finally finished uploading all the photographs for readable markers and will begin working on family connections and bios next. I do use the death certificate information to correct and enhance the data entry fields but have made it a rule not to cut and paste the exact listing from Ancestry into the memorial, primarily because I have noted frequent and significant transcription errors including incorrect name spellings, dates of birth/death, locations, etc. This is likely due to poor handwriting on the original certificates and transcribers that are unfamiliar with town and family names. Just wanted to let you know that I do receive the messages and utilize the information if I have not been able to track down the certificate myself. Thanks again.
