I have been working on my Family Genealogy on and off, as I am able to, for about 30 years. when I first began doing it, it was a way to get my mother involved in something interesting for both of us. She had so many stories to tell me and genealogy was a trigger as we worked through the family, looking at old photographs and came across family records that we had in boxes and trunks. While doing it Mama was able to actually talk to some of her childhood friends that she had not heard from since she was a young woman. I wish she was still here to help me.
I have found that Find a Grave is a wonderful resource as well as a way to let me know where my Kin Folk are resting and it gives me a way to share some of the family photos I have, with others who may not have them.
Which reminds me. Any photos I post, may be used in Family trees and or shared with others who may want copies. I have only two requests if you download them, that they not be sold for profit or gain and that if you use them, will you please add my name and email address so that those keeping them may contact me if they want to in search of our mutual genealogy or in asking if I have more photos of the person they are interested in.
