One who appreciates those who have gone before. A history buff who dragged his daughter from cemetery to cemetery when she was young. Anyway, love the site, and proud of my famous bios contributions.|

|Professor Echo||Thank You!|
I was leaving a note for Boris Karloff when I was struck by the brevity of his biography. Most of the biographies at this website are lengthy and, although respectful, a bit cumbersome. I read your biography of Karloff and was blown away. In a few short sentences, you captured this wonderful man's life. The last statement about his character is remarkable. Forrest J. Ackerman (editor of "Famous Monsters of Filmland") once called Karloff, along with Vincent Price and Peter Cushing, one of his "Holy Three" (as opposed to the Chaney film "The Unholy Three"); three stars who always treated their fans with kindness and appreciation.
I just hope you are pursuing this talent of yours.

Dear sir. Excellent biographical obituary..I would make just one comment. According to several interviews and the one biography "A Rose for 'Mrs. Miniver" - it was always her intent to be an actress. NOT a teacher. Her family, especially her paternal grandmother, was entirely against it and even her mother, Nina Garson, did what she could initially to discourage her. There's a lot more to the story - if you want to know more, read that biography. Regards, Leslie Fox, NJ

|Sandra Miller-Louden||Fred MacMurray|
How right you are about Fred MacMurray being underappreciated and underrated. His comical expressions could make me laugh until tears rolled down my cheeks--and then I found myself "hating" him in The Apartment, fascinated by him in Double Indemnity and loving him in Alice Adams and Remember The Night. He and Claudette Colbert were a fantastic screen team who are rarely mentioned when the subject comes up. We are in good company; Robert Osbourne of TCM also says he is totally underrated. So, anyway, Portia, great job on the MacMurray bio. Sandra Miller-Louden (www.greetingcardwriting.com)
Merry Christmas Portia!
