One who appreciates those who have gone before. A history buff who dragged his daughter from cemetery to cemetery when she was young. Anyway, love the site, and proud of my famous bios contributions.|

|Mombam||Greer Garson memorial bio|
Dear sir. Excellent biographical obituary..I would make just one comment. According to several interviews and the one biography "A Rose for 'Mrs. Miniver" - it was always her intent to be an actress. NOT a teacher. Her family, especially her paternal grandmother, was entirely against it and even her mother, Nina Garson, did what she could initially to discourage her. There's a lot more to the story - if you want to know more, read that biography. Regards, Leslie Fox, NJ

|Sandra Miller-Louden||Fred MacMurray|
How right you are about Fred MacMurray being underappreciated and underrated. His comical expressions could make me laugh until tears rolled down my cheeks--and then I found myself "hating" him in The Apartment, fascinated by him in Double Indemnity and loving him in Alice Adams and Remember The Night. He and Claudette Colbert were a fantastic screen team who are rarely mentioned when the subject comes up. We are in good company; Robert Osbourne of TCM also says he is totally underrated. So, anyway, Portia, great job on the MacMurray bio. Sandra Miller-Louden (www.greetingcardwriting.com)
Merry Christmas Portia!
