Bio

The 4th son of James E. King, I was born and raised in Roswell, N.M. where I now reside with wife, Patty. I have been a music educator and performer for the past 25 years and am currently a public school teacher in the area. I gained a strong interest in history and genealogy from my father who was a fountain of "childhood stories" and gave me a sense of pride in my family roots. Over the years my family genealogy has become an outright obsession that has taken me all over the country and has caused me to devote hundreds of hours in research. Along the way, I have been fortunate to meet some distant relatives and other researchers who are among the finest people I know. I have heard it said that "genealogist are the most generous people on earth". Never has a more truthful statement been uttered. To date I have collected and researched a large amount of genealogy on the King, Hammett, Dunlap, Turner and associated families. I am always digging for more and always welcome anyone doing research on these families to share information.
