Please allow twenty (20) days for edits... I have a life outside of FindAGrave.com. Besides, if I don't get to it, FAG will automatically update it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
TO POTENTIAL CONTRIBUTORS OF "ADDITIONAL INFO": I appreciate additional info to memorials which I've created/maintain, but PLEASE LIMIT your info. This site is called FIND-A-GRAVE, not "Find The Genealogy History Of...". I do not feel it at all appropriate to turn a memorial into an entire "genealogy work". Certainly it will be ONE, OF MANY valuable resources for genealogists in their research. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Need to contact a contributor who has submitted edits/Info for a memorial I maintain? Cut & Paste the following link, then enter their ID#. http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=memberSearch ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
***I DO NOT POST OBITS, post 1922*** Please refer to Find A Grave's rules of use under FAQ, by clicking on "Help with Find A Grave" in the left-side menu.
I will not list a person who does not have a DOD inscribed on their stone, unless I have verified their death. Many people have pre-ordered their cemetery markers for the "inevitable", thus their name and DOB being posted online BEFORE THEY DIE, is a violation to their privacy. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I endeavor to compare NAMES and DATES, so that I don't create an entry for someone previously listed by another variation of their name, so please let me know if I have duplicated a memorial. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
NOTE: 99% of the headstone photos I've added are best viewed when "clicked-on". Headstone photo's may be copied to other sites WITH the proper citation to FindAGrave.com., but photos of INDIVIDUALS MAY NOT be used on ANY OTHER WEBSITE without my permission.
Green Cook Cemetery It is in Macon County Alabama Cemeteries. listed as Green - Cook Cemetery surveyed 2/22/1966 by Mrs Homer Swingle and Mrs H J Westenhaver. They referenced a copy of a survey they had from August 1936 which was done by Mrs George F Rice. All the grave marker transcriptions were from the survey. They were accompanied by the property owner Mr Charles Huddleston.
GREEN - COOK CEMETERY Thanks for the information you gave on John Springer Green. I was able to locate the 1936 census and additional information about the cemetery location in 1966. I would appreciate if you would post this in the description since you created the cemetery on Find A Grave.
From a 1966 survey."Located about 6 1/2 miles west of the Courthouse in Tuskegee on Highway 80 to Montgomery, about 1/2 mile east of Union Methodist Church, about 200 feet north of the highway on a knoll in rear of modem house of Mrs. Wallace Echols."
RE: Joseph Brentar If you go to "145 million grave records" on the right is "honoring" Every person on there has hundreds of flowers added as they are seen by many people. I wanted to get my cousin on there as he was a Police officer killed in the line of duty. I'll keep trying, thanks
RE: Joseph Brentar Rhonda Poynter took it over to have her friends send memorials but she can no longer be contacted. I wanted to know about having it sent back and getting it on the "honored roll" section.
