With the exception of links, POB/POD; I usually DO NOT accept blind edits, so please do not be offended when I request your source.

I appreciate additional info to memorials which I've created/maintain, but PLEASE LIMIT your info. This site is called FIND-A-GRAVE, not "Find The Genealogy History Of...".
I do not feel it at all appropriate to turn a memorial into an entire "genealogy work". Certainly it will be ONE, OF MANY valuable resources for genealogists in their research.

I will not accept "cut & paste" items from Aside from it being PROHIBITED by their website, it's just tacky, tacky, tacky!

For those genealogy novices who like to think every "record" hosted at is correct, THEY ARE NOT, as any seasoned genealogist will attest. For the purpose of this site, I record dates as inscribed on headstones. When presented with the possibility the stone info may be incorrect, I will certainly add a note regarding alternative dates.

Need to contact a contributor who has submitted edits/Info for a memorial I maintain? Cut & Paste the following link, then enter their ID#.

***I DO NOT POST OBITS, post 1922***
Please refer to Find A Grave's rules of use under FAQ, by clicking on "Help with Find A Grave" in the left-side menu.

I will not list a person who does not have a DOD inscribed on their stone, unless I have verified their death. Many people have pre-ordered their cemetery markers for the "inevitable", thus their name and DOB being posted online BEFORE THEY DIE, is a violation to their privacy.

I endeavor to compare NAMES and DATES, so that I don't create an entry for someone previously listed by another variation of their name, so please let me know if I have duplicated a memorial.

NOTE: 99% of the headstone photos I've added are best viewed when "clicked-on".
Headstone photo's may be copied to other sites WITH the proper citation to, but photos of INDIVIDUALS MAY NOT be used on ANY OTHER WEBSITE without my permission.

Thanks for your reply. I did note that yours was first, which I why I wrote you, thinking you the one to contact the other person. Sorry if that's not the way it works. Of note to me though, is that the other one has links to the family members, rather confirming the info you received. Have a nice evening! I've got what I need.

Rev James Elizabeth Glenn
Russell County in Retrospective by Anna K Walker uses and quotes Anson West's History of the Methodist Church in Alabama in the reference to Rev Glenn beginning on pg 310. Glennville is considered to be the earliest white settlement in Russell County. Elizabeth is a rare surname but it is a surname.

Glennville Cemetery
How can we get this cemetery cleaned up? I think there are alot graves unaccounted for- probably more than the 15% estimate. Also I don't know how to contact findagrave and ask that the spelling of the name be corrected. Any suggestions?

RE: Traxler
sorry about the confusion
my brain aint never right

We have a heavy gullah/german accent
so I'm sure it sounded like something other than traxler when we said it

So I need to find out about the Traxler family
and they might lead to mine
