Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've walked many graveyards, seeing stones in bad shape, and wondered what would happen to them as time marched on. This site is a wonderful way to preserve, if not the actual stone, at least a replica by photograph for the future.

If you are related and can enhance the memorial by adding additional information, please request transfer, giving me your relationship. No transfers just for collection of a particular family name. If you do want a transfer, be sure you are committed to a lifetime of maintaining the memorial. Sadly, a few of my older transfers are maintained by contributors who no longer respond.

When sending information to add, include verifiable source of information. All edits will be verified before being accepted. With quick edits, this is still important so unless evident on memorial, please use the other suggestion and include source. Online trees, such as ancestry's, and family reports are not valid sources unless sources are noted.

I no longer add dates of birth that are calculated from age at death unless a photo of the stone is legible. (I got caught on a couple bad transcriptions which threw off the calculated birthdate).

Links will not be made to memorial in unknown cemeteries, as the site is meant to document burial locations.

If you have taken better gravestone photos that what I've posted, please post yours and send a message.

I may try to contact contributors if I question an edit. For those who hide themselves completely by not showing email or allowing comments, my only choice is to decline and hope they resubmit with additional information.

Let me know if you have any questions on my listings - I love a good genealogy search and will try to help if possible!

Happy graving to all!

Gordon/Hertzler photos
Thanks very much for all the Gordon and Hertzler memorial photos!!! My reservations are all set for July and I plan on focusing more on Longsdorf and Trindle Springs family. I plan on the Dauphin County Historical Socirty and perhaps Harrisburg archives as well. With visiting family and family vacation with the girls, time is limited for the research. All the best, Jessica

The Richwines
Linda:

Once again thank you. The transfer of the three Richwine memorials in Westminster Memorial Gardens is much appreciated. It took me a couple of minutes to figure out why you did so. You must have figured out that there is a Shatto connection a couple of generations previous, i.e. Maud nee Adams Richwine's father, John Calvin Adams' mother was Mary A. Shatto.

This is setting off a search to see how these Richwines are also connected to another of my lines; a gg+ auntie, Catherine Gardner married an Andrew Richwine in the early 19th century - they lived in Cumberland County. Must be a connection there somewhere.

Cheers, Barry

James Heberlig memorial
Linda:

You're at it again!! Much to my surprise you've transferred the James Heberlig in Carlisle to me. Thanks much. Now if we can only figure out where his wife Clarissa Shatto might happen to be, although I more than suspect she is still with us. Have put in auto edits for several of the children to link them up to their father.

As always, a pleasure.

Barry

Myrtle Mae Volinski
Thank you for the obituary; I have added it to Mrs.Volinski's memorial. Also, there is a discrepancy in death date between the obituary and her headstone. I went with the date from the obituary. Again, thank you.
