Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have always loved history, in spite of that fact, I let my grandparents and parents pass away without finding out much about their lives and times.

As I look through old newspapers for family information, if I find an obituary, I type it out and post it.

If you are related and want a transfer just let me know. If I've made typo's sorry, ... let me know and I will correct.

If you object to anything I have done just let me know and I will delete.

happy hunting.

ps - please don't be offended, I delete messages.

RE: porter Reed
Thanks! Please keep checking Porter as we will be adding a Reed family plot picture the next time my daughter and I get out to that cemetery. We plan on going this weekend if the weather is good.

RE: William Wainwright, Rhinebeck Cemetery
Interment records indicate that William Wainwright died 10.17.1895 and was interred 10.18.1895. The second William Wainwright died 2.5.1925, in New York and was interred 2.9.1925.

There is a stone for each of them in the cemetery, both in the same family plot.

Hope that helps

Thanks

Harriet (Crowl) Black
Thanks for catching the mistake on Harriet (Crowl) Black's death date. I had accidentally entered the death date for her daughter, also named Harriet. The maiden name is definitely Crowl though, not Crow. It is listed this way in my great-grandmother's Family Bible (she was Harriet's daughter), as well as the 1870 and 1880 Census records for Harriet's parents. On Harriet's death certificate, it is spelled Croll.

Etta Frink
Thank you for the Etta Frink obituary. I am not related to Etta. She was one of my Grandmother's friends. I had added Etta's memorial based on documents found among my Grandmother's papers. Let me know if you would like me to transfer Etta to you.
