Bio

I am a native Virginian who has been interested in family history since I was a young college student back in the late 1960s. Mostly, I have worked on my mother's side of the family off and on over the years - which involves the surnames Croushorn (Kraushaar), Lambert, Switzer, Swartz and others.

My father's family (Heflin) is so numerous it's not really been possible for me to make much progress in it when I have worked on it; however, I know some things about it and associated names such as Kane and Kearnes (Kerns).

I am not really a researcher. I come here to write up what I know about family members who have passed on and to post some pictures if available. I also enjoy posting memorial flowers at the surnames of those with the above last names and have done so in all states for some and a few states for others. Please do not write to me expecting to get a lot of information because I don't have a lot. I am not a researcher or amateur genealogist really; I've just dabbled in it over the years.

As for transfers, there are just a few of the persons' graves I manage that I would consider transferring because most are such close relatives. A few I have done for others mainly in case someone wants to take them over later.

Thanks. Marylin Rumph (M. Faith Heflin Rumph)
