Bio Photo A Southern Family Tree is not a tree but a beautiful Wisteria Vine with many branches going everywhere and a lost root!

NSDAR 1988 Patriots: Rev. Lewis Cookson Davis, John Anderson, Charles Heard, William Hay, Lt. Willis Pope, Nathaniel Jones,John Stovall, Absalom Davis (Only one has a known grave site so the rest do not have memorials on FAG)

To keep weeds out of the beautiful Find A Grave garden....

First, I don't link to Burial Unknown Site Memorials as BU shouldn't be on FAG according to the guidelines of the website. The first criteria for making a memorial on FAG is having the burial site, as this is a grave registration site. When you made a BU, you have a chance of losing the memorial to the member who "Find A Grave" in the cemetery.

Second, I may or may not transfer outside of the guidelines to an established member. It is my choice. Long-time hard working-members, who are busy in surveying cemeteries and taking grave photos impress me more than someone who is collecting others' memorials for their personal goal or waiting for someone to find the burial sites for their numerous memorials made with an "unknown burial site".

Lastly, there are no duplicated memorials on FAG. If I find a duplicated memorial while researching this site, there is 99% chance that it will be deleted or merged eventually.

You may disagree with the guidelines but remember the guy who started Find A Grave wrote them. He is the boss.

Many of the memorials transferred to me were done without my request for them. These memorials have found a home and will be nurtured.

Also, thank you for all the flowers and tokens left on my family's memorial. They are all sincerely appreciated by me and my family.

Remember to check on the Discussion Forums here. They are very newsy, helpful and interesting!

I leave nasty postings on my profile page so others can see just how rude and stupid people can be to others. Most read and laugh. :)

RE: Little Lizzie's grave photo
You are welcome. It is a big cemetery and we had the photo request list with us while we were looking for another stone. I just noticed Lizzie quite by accident. These things just happen - "they" call out to be found.

Ok, I did delete the other one. I will certainly go and get you an overview photo of the section he's in when I go back. I'm very glad you asked. If it were one of my family I'd want that too. I wish I had one for my grand uncle at Arlington! They like to close-crop the photos there. ;)

RE: Richard Duane Haugen
You're Welcome Linda. I was hoping you could assist me in making the call about which is better, top or bottom. I was going to come back when the sun was on the face but it never happened. Too cloudy. So therefore you see the lower one with filtered sun. I will delete the less favorite one then. Thanks.

RE: Dr. McKechnie's
I guess I should be thankful for all he has done since I've had several surgeries since moving to Florida. He seems to have been a very knowing doctor with concern for those having surgery.

Thank you. The Helsings are in my family. Not blood related though.

RE: Mabel Helsing - 113069043
Yes, apparently she did not know where Mabel had been buried. Did you realize she has died herself?

I just talked to the Riverside Cemetery and yes Mabel was cremated. He did not know about Earl, her husband.
