A Southern Family Tree is not a tree but a beautiful Wisteria Vine with many branches going everywhere and a lost root!|

To keep weeds out of the beautiful Find A Grave garden....
First, I don't link to Burial Unknown Site Memorials as BU shouldn't be on FAG according to the guidelines of the website. Do not request relationship edits to a BU as it will be refused. The first criteria for making a memorial on FAG is having the burial site, as this is a grave registration site. When you made a BU, you have a chance of losing the memorial to the member who "Find A Grave" in the cemetery.
Second, I may or may not transfer outside of the guidelines to an established member. It is my choice. Long-time hard working-members, who are busy in surveying cemeteries and taking grave photos impress me more than someone who is collecting others' memorials for their personal goal or waiting for someone to find the burial sites for their numerous memorials made with an "unknown burial site".
Lastly, there are no duplicated memorials on FAG. If I find a duplicated memorial while researching this site, there is 99% chance that it will be deleted or merged eventually.
You may disagree with the guidelines but remember the guy who started Find A Grave wrote them. He is the boss.
Many of the memorials transferred to me were done without my request for them. These memorials have found a home and will be nurtured.
Also, thank you for all the flowers and tokens left on my family's memorial. They are all sincerely appreciated by me and my family.
Remember to check on the Discussion Forums here. They are very newsy, helpful and interesting!

|Linda Ellis||Jane Carter|
This Jane Carter, [younger sister of my line Matthew Jr] the daughter of Matthew & Cassandra, never married, however she did have two sons by her sister's husband Edmund Goff. In the Carter letters, she was always referred to as 'poor Jane'. She was in Jackson County by 1811.
I have seen the marriage listing in Georgia for a Jane Carter & Mr. Sellers. Not sure of her parents.

You're welcome! I've added the photo to Florence's memorial, too.

merging...that would be awesome! I don't know how to merge = can you explain the process?
I have been told about having duplicates but I do not know how to merge them or even how to spot duplicates. Can you help me? Thank you.
|Dionna Burnett||Charlotte Margaret Francis|
Hello Linda Davis. Charlotte Margaret Francis is my great grandmother. Can you tell me more about the Global, Find A Grave Index for Burials At Sea. How can I find out about My grandmother being Buried At Sea?
Is there a way to merge them?
thank you for pointing out the duplicate memorials I have made. The reason they are duplicates is because, when I wrote to the owners of the memorials with additions like birth dates, places, parents' names, etc, I got no response. That was before we could go in and make edits and hope the person accepts them, if they are still active.
I will try this route, leaving my duplicates until I hear from the owners of the originals so that the information will not be lost.

Cemetery records show him at the space I indicated and there is no stone there. If you have a better location let me know and I'll look there.
