To keep weeds out of the beautiful Find A Grave garden....
First, I don't link to Burial Unknown Site Memorials as BU shouldn't be on FAG according to the guidelines of the website. Do not request relationship edits to a BU as it will be refused. The first criteria for making a memorial on FAG is having the burial site, as this is a grave registration site. When you made a BU, you have a chance of losing the memorial to the member who "Find A Grave" in the cemetery.
Second, I may or may not transfer outside of the guidelines to an established member. It is my choice. Long-time hard working-members, who are busy in surveying cemeteries and taking grave photos impress me more than someone who is collecting others' memorials for their personal goal or waiting for someone to find the burial sites for their numerous memorials made with an "unknown burial site".
Lastly, there are no duplicated memorials on FAG. If I find a duplicated memorial while researching this site, there is 99% chance that it will be deleted or merged eventually.
You may disagree with the guidelines but remember the guy who started Find A Grave wrote them. He is the boss.
Many of the memorials transferred to me were done without my request for them. These memorials have found a home and will be nurtured.
Also, thank you for all the flowers and tokens left on my family's memorial. They are all sincerely appreciated by me and my family.
Remember to check on the Discussion Forums here. They are very newsy, helpful and interesting!

His grave is not unmarked. There is a picture of the marker on another web site.

Hi Linda: Thank you for the great message! You are doing very well after the knee replacement"!! It's so amazing the difference that the surgery makes! I had right knee replacement in October 2014. Like yours, it took time to heal and get the range of motion. I had 14 physical therapy sessions after the hospital, with machines etc at a Physical Therapist office. I ended up with 132 range of motion. I was amazed that I did so well. So it's time to move forward with the left replacement now! The good thing is: at least I know more on what to expect, hopefully. I'm looking forward to being more able to get back into walking in the cemeteries to do photos, to put on F.a.G. Let me know if I can be of help on your Desert Lawn cemetery relatives. Take you and Thank You! Fay C.

Cemetery records have his date of death as May 20, 2005. I don't know why.

Thank you again. Glad to meet you.

The profile of James Reid # 9326660 has a photo added of him and his wife by you. Can I ask how and where you came upon that photo? And where I might be able to obtain a higher resolution copy. They are my Great great grand parents. Thank you for the work you do.
|Fay Elaine Young Chandler||Thomas Lidahl|
Thank You for the inquiry about Tom Lidahl. The 2 photo's on his memorial are all I have. There were several headstones in his vicinity/ or row that were very overgrown with grass. That is very unusual for this cemetery. It looked like to me that some of that particular rows was overlooked when the 'trimmer person' was in that area. Usually, Desert Lawn is extremely well mowed & trimmed around each marker. There were several in that row that were too covered up--I couldn't get photo's that were legible. So I did miss some. And, yes Olga's name plate was there, but totally unreadable and covered.
That was last Sep 2014, so it is likely (hopefully), that the situation is better by now. I'm getting ready for a knee replacement currently, and unable to go walk in the cemetery.
Please let me know if I can be of further help.
