Bio Photo A Southern Family Tree is not a tree but a beautiful Wisteria Vine with many branches going everywhere and a lost root!

NSDAR 1988 Patriots: Rev. Lewis Cookson Davis, John Anderson, Charles Heard, William Hay, Lt. Willis Pope, Nathaniel Jones,John Stovall, Absalom Davis and Owen Griffin. Only one has a known grave site so the rest do not have memorials on FAG. (Update Nov 2015: found that other members are now making unknown burials of these patriots meeting their genealogy storage goal and not FAG's goal of recording graves sites)

To keep weeds out of the beautiful Find A Grave garden....

First, I don't link to Burial Unknown Site Memorials as BU shouldn't be on FAG according to the guidelines of the website. Do not request relationship edits to a BU as it will be refused. The first criteria for making a memorial on FAG is having the burial site, as this is a grave registration site. When you made a BU, you have a chance of losing the memorial to the member who "Find A Grave" in the cemetery.

Second, I may or may not transfer outside of the guidelines to an established member. It is my choice. Long-time hard working-members, who are busy in surveying cemeteries and taking grave photos impress me more than someone who is collecting others' memorials for their personal goal or waiting for someone to find the burial sites for their numerous memorials made with an "unknown burial site".

If you are seeking transfer to "have all your family together" ~ use the virtual cemetery button. Then all of the memorials will be in the same "cemetery", and you can look at them daily.

Lastly, there are no duplicated memorials on FAG. If I find a duplicated memorial while researching this site, there is 99% chance that it will be deleted or merged eventually.

You may disagree with the guidelines but remember the guy who started Find A Grave wrote them. He is the boss.

Many of the memorials transferred to me were done without my request for them. These memorials have found a home and will be nurtured.

Also, thank you for all the flowers and tokens left on my family's memorial. They are all sincerely appreciated by me and my family.

Remember to check on the Discussion Forums here. They are very newsy, helpful and interesting!

Joseph W Barr

Thank you for linking Joseph W Barr to his parents for me, however I am going to send in another edit to remove the link. I am not certain this is my Joseph W Barr. That fact that my Joseph W Barr was born in Greene Co. Ohio is certainly true, but I think this is a different Joseph W. Barr and whoever submitted the place of birth did so in error. I did request a photo of the headstone so will be curious to see what comes back. Plus I do not see any Joseph W Barr listed in the Camp Chase Confederate burials so do not know how this memorial came to be. Thank you!

Joseph W Barr
Good Day Linda,

You created a memorial for Joseph W. Barr in 2010.

I was wondering what source you used to create it. I have searched this site

for burials in that cemetery and do not see his name here.

Thank you!

RE: Thanks for the heads up
That is good to hear that you only had minor problems. It shows the power of God in our lives and in our country. We are a blessed nation.

RE: Thanks for the heads up
Thank you Miss Linda for you quick response. Thank you for transferring James Strong to me. I've known him since we were kids.

I grew up in Selma, Alabama. When I graduated high school, I joined the U.S. Army. I settled in Monterey County, California after my discharge from the Army. My family and I also take frequent trips to Alabama to visit family and friends.
