*** Hi Everyone! It's been ages since I've been able to attend to corrections, edits, & transfer requests. Life's been super busy and I'm hoping to set aside some time soon to get all the updates in (6 months worth, oh my!) ***
"May the Smile of Bast be upon us in Life, and may the Hands of Anpu be upon us in Death, as the Light of Ra shines upon us Always. So Mote It Be!" -Shandril oc Arran, High Priestess
I love the peace and quiet of cemeteries, walking among the tombstones and really making myself think about the folks lying beneath my feet. What were they like? Who loved them? Who are they now?I also enjoy genealogy and being a Find-A-Grave contributor has served a two-fold purpose for me. Not only and I able to make online memorials for my loved ones, but I've also been able to provide photos of the final resting places of others' loved ones. This reciprocation of energy with like-minded folk at F-A-G is very gratifying; no matter our separate walks of life, our diverse backgrounds, we all come together in common purpose to make sure the Dead are remembered.
My family names include: Ashworth, Byerly, Calvert, Cathey, Chamberlain, Coleman, Driskell, Dudley, Hull, McClanahan, Moxley, Kirkpatrick, Lyons, Palmer, Purdy, Schneller, Smith, Teeter, and Walters.
Blessings and much thanks to fellow contributors that have been able to photograph the graves of my family members!
Anise Woodyard 24847824 I still cant seem to add the mother of Anise to her memorial. The memorial number for her mother I had given previously is now not correct (that memorial was a duplicate and has been deleted. Please add her mother (Elmira Keepers Robinson)memorial 146739506.. That is the correct one.
Anise Woodyrd 24847824 Additional info: Her middle name was Frances. Her maiden name was Robinson. Whe was born 25 June 1876 n Nebraska. She died 1 Aug 1964 in Los Angeles Co., CA (probably in Pomona, CA.)
Wilcox Am making a suggestion for correction on Memorial # 46163874 . The information on this memorial and the others is hard to understand and that is true. Antoinette is on my my wife side of the family and this is the first time that he have seen it. Thanks to your photo. Frank first married Laurel and then he married again to Antoinette. Frank and Laurel had a child that is in the upper left side as it states. I would have to say that Antoinette was not very attactive.
Wanda Nell Belvin Millican I have made a memorial #147704914, for this lady; wife of Samuel Evans Millican, memorial #24825355. I've made the link from Samuel for his wife and on her page the link of her parents. Now that I've done that, I don't have a photo of her headstone. You are in charge of his memorial, so I'm asking if you or someone you know, could take a picture of her headstone.
Let me know what you decide. Thanks, Linda Barnard
Transfer request Hello and thank you for creating the pages for my grandparents Ira and Loretta Pamplin. I would like to request a transfer of their pages over to me, Christina Belcher #48663176. My grandparents memorial # are: 59804904, 59804902. Thank you again for your help.
James Lyon I've just added a photo of James' stone. I will be retaking it, as the grass on top of it was frozen the day I was there. I didn't realize you had a photo request in for it. I've 'adopted' Evergreen and trying to add photos for those that don't have any. I will be returning one of these days and retake it. "Each Day Counts", Loretta
