I am from Alabama and have been interested in cemeteries and family history since I was a child, and have always loved to stroll through them and see the different memorials and epitaphs people have chosen to remember their loved ones with. I think "everybody is somebody" and all have a story to tell, and think that Find a Grave is a great way for people to share their loved ones stories and creat a memorial for them. Although some people think we are morbid, my sister Margaret and I share the same interest in cemeteries and have started researching the cemeteries where we have family members and posting our research here. If I have entered incorrect information, if you have something to add about someone posted, or if I have entered someone you do not want on this site, please let me know and I will either correct, add to, or delete them. We have tried to make our research as thorough as possible, and so have added as many names and dates as possible, and think this is a great way to preserve history for future generations. NOTE:I will be glad to work with you as much as possible to transfer any of your relatives over to you that I may have listed. However, the ALvis`s and Burks`s that I have listed are my direct descendants and they are not up for transfer, no matter if they have a bio written or not. Thank you for understanding!
RE: Green transfers I do appreciate the transfers of my distant cousins George, Leetha and son Herman GREEN. I have added what I could and connected Herman to his parents. You had a lot of info for Leetha so thought you had to be related!
Some people do want to keep their numbers up so rather keep their memorials and that is okay too but I am like you, if not related would love any transfers to family members.
Westlawn-Hillcrest Vets We are currently working to identify anyone buried in Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery Omaha NE that has served in the military. If you have a loved one buried there or know of someone, please send us a message. We place flags on the graves for Memorial Day. This project is sponsored by Centennial Masonic Lodge #326.
If you can send us the names, we will be sure to include them on our list to get a flag.
Thank you for the help with this ongoing project.
If you have already received this message, please accept our apologies for the duplicate message.
RE: Names Hi Carolyn, Thank you for transferring Aunt Mattie and Uncle Ora to me!! Little Baby Ora Eugene Hudson was the son of Uncle Ora and his first wife, Ruby Eugene McKenzie Hudson. Ruby died shortly have the birth of their (Ora and Ruby's),3rd Child Louise, then Uncle Ora married my Aunt Mattie, and she raised the 2 girls, Lois and Louise, of Uncle Ora's as her own. Uncle Ora and Aunt Mattie had 9 children together. I will take all of the Hudson Family you may have, to keep them together! Thank you again for your help and for being a part of Findagrave! Sincerely, Becky
Hope all is well with you in Garden City/Cullman. The weather here has been something else this year.
