WOW! I've been researching my family roots now for ten years. I became interested when my Auntie passed and I inherited our family photos.|
Many of them I had not seen before, but some had names on the back. It was like a puzzle, putting all the pieces together. It became an addiction, fitting one piece at a time. I have scrapbooked all of my heritage photos which really brings these family members to life. Finding documents of marriage, birth, death, wills, newspaper articles and personal tidbits about each person opens another chapter in my history book.
These are my direct lines:
Most of my roots started in Kentucky and moved into Missouri.
Primarily the Missouri Counties of, Clay, Platte, Ray, Boone, Lincoln, Douglas.
Do I have any family out there? Please let me hear from you!!!!

|Grace (Cronin) Schmitt||Rebecca - 2nd note|
Well I meant to add 1860 info to Rebecca, forgetting that I wasn't her manager. So, go to John Q. A. Capps, Find A Grave 23862068 to see the findings. Shouldn't do this kind of work without coffee. Sorry. Grace

Just found Rebecca, and her son John Q.A., on the 1860 census, and placed the information on her memorial and on John's. Grace

You are very welcome.
This is what makes taking photos meaningful, when you can help someone.
I am glad that I could help you.
|Mr. Tom||RE: Millie Whitworth!|
The online obits only go back to Feb 1988. No way to access Roys unless going to the library and micro film searching.

|BETTY HOLBROOK||Micajah Brown|
My name is Betty Holbrook. Micajah would be my 4th great grandfather. Any information you can share with me would be great.
|Pete Brown||William Brown 1818 KY|
Hi, My name is Elliott Brown, gr gr grandson of William Brown 1818 KY. Just came across your listing of Micajah Brown as William's father. We had thought his father was also a William. Do you have or know of documentation referencing Micajah and Chatherine McDowell? In particular the Indian reference? This is a great find for us - we've been looking for Willaim's father for a long time. Based on your information we also came across Rev. War land grant info for Micajah Brown, David and John Jr. McDowell. Are you aware of any of that?
Hi, I have been introduced to your family while researching my own. You seem like you love them very much and it warmed my heart to see. Isn't it a comfort that we will get to be with our lost loved ones again? and meet the ones we never knew? That's so awesome to think about! So, technically, I am part of your family. But distantly, and by marriage, not blood. But family is family right? So, think of Rachael Ann Whitworth. Then go to her daughter Lettie Davis. Then her daughter Vida Friend. She became "Friend" because she married Jesse Boyd Friend. That is the point that my family joins yours. Boyd Friend is my great great uncle. So, i'm pretty distantly related, but i just thought I would share. God bless!
