|Bio and Links|
I first discovered this site when I was researching descendants through one of the proven "royalty" lines. I was interested in finding where some of these individuals were buried and was hoping to visit England in the near future. |
My England trip has not panned out yet, but I did discover that I liked this site due to the fact that an individual could be personalized by adding photos, taking pictures of headstones, and adding bios. I felt this somehow draws you in closer to the person. I love the fact that you can leave notes also.
I have told everyone that I know about this site and I and some friends have been doing all we can to document some of our local cemeteries. We have completed our local cemeteries and have expanded into some of our surrounding communities. We have met some very nice people due to this project. We also post all of the local obits to FAG if the obit states which cemetery they are located in.
We also volunteer to put out flags on Memorial Day and Veteran's Day. It only takes a few hours, and, let's face it, some of these guys can use the help. They are always so grateful, and the ceremonies are always beautiful.
I would also like to thank the volunteers who take time to take pictures of headstones for me at cemeteries that I will probably never get to see. Recently, I found where one of my fathers relatives was buried, and a volunteer took a picture of the grave. I do appreciate each and every one of you!
I encourage everyone to adopt a cemetery, scour the local papers for obits, and tell all their friends and neighbors about this site. Everyone benefits!

Dear Ms. Satterfield,
Due your notes on memorials, and given the amount of Bryants you have inyour memorials, I believe we might be connected (if these folks are in your lineage). Would you please contact me (using the email addres is fine..) to see how/where/through who we might be related? I'd certainly appreciate being able to extend the branches of the NJ Bryant further with your help.
Thanks ! yours, Jeff

I'm sorry to cause so much work. But you did the research and posted the evidence. Thank you!

I agree that you are in the middle. That is why I offered to accept the transfer of the memorial.
To suggest that we both have equal evidence would be incorrect. The primary evidence that I am offering is a marriage license transcription that gives the four parents. That transcription is listed in sources on Geni and is available there and on familysearch for anyone to see. I have provided links to those parents that you have accepted.
The other person has evidence that another individual with a similar name and similar age is from the same area.
That does not suggest equal evidence.
Family records showed the relationship that has been proven by first hand information. A marriage license provides information that the two individuals give. That makes it first hand information.
Personally, I am happy to leave things as they are for now. You have linked to the parents that are on the marriage license and are in my family records. I was asked to request that you remove the incorrect citation.
But in fact the information on findagrave has been used as proof of the relationship until now.
You could decide to transfer the memorial. That would remove you from the position you find yourself in. But that might be premature. Why don't you hold onto it for now and transfer if you feel the memorial would be best served by that sometime in the future. For now everyone should examine the facts and I think the issue will be settled amicably.
And I'll be happy to welcome new cousins.
Now I sent a request through the edit tab. It is not an open forum. You placed this in an open forum for better or worse. I'll let you decide whether that is what you want. To me it increases the sense of you being in the middle.

Thank you just somehow doesn't seem adequate, but it will have to do. I appreciate you creating their memorials and then entrusting them to my care. I appreciate it greatly and may God bless you and yours. Sincerely, Benae

charles and martha bell are my grtgrdparents; a very long time ago when my family, my dad's family was still living, i actually got to meet grtgrdma wagley, brady, but at the time I did not know until i dipped into ancestry. I had a good cry to know I actually got to meet her in that way.
there are home movies that do not exist any more, because travelling back and forth while we were young, they got lost.

Hello there. I'm writing in hopes that you'll transfer memorial #11387132 to my care. She is my great grandmother, and I'd be greatly pleased to manage her memorial page. Thanks so much.
I would like you to transfer my granny's memorial to me. Thank you
