I first discovered this site when I was researching descendants through one of the proven "royalty" lines. I was interested in finding where some of these individuals were buried and was hoping to visit England in the near future. |
My England trip has not panned out yet, but I did discover that I liked this site due to the fact that an individual could be personalized by adding photos, taking pictures of headstones, and adding bios. I felt this somehow draws you in closer to the person. I love the fact that you can leave notes also.
I have told everyone that I know about this site and I and some friends have been doing all we can to document some of our local cemeteries. We have completed our local cemeteries and have expanded into some of our surrounding communities. We have met some very nice people due to this project. We also post all of the local obits to FAG if the obit states which cemetery they are located in.
We also volunteer to put out flags on Memorial Day and Veteran's Day. It only takes a few hours, and, let's face it, some of these guys can use the help. They are always so grateful, and the ceremonies are always beautiful.
I would also like to thank the volunteers who take time to take pictures of headstones for me at cemeteries that I will probably never get to see. Recently, I found where one of my fathers relatives was buried, and a volunteer took a picture of the grave. I do appreciate each and every one of you!
I encourage everyone to adopt a cemetery, scour the local papers for obits, and tell all their friends and neighbors about this site. Everyone benefits!

|Werner Howald||Moses Hart|
Memorial number 32647820 I saw this today and notice this. Moses H Hart is not the father of this memorial, it's the son Mose H Hart b. 1869 - 1922. Just to let you know. No big deal.

Thanks Diana. I had the info on George, Jessie and her parents, but George & Jessie did have children. Three girls: Ruby Freeman, Pat Freeman and Janice Freeman, who marries Bruce Deifel. They have a daughter Ashley Tharp Deifel who was born about 1986. Have no birthdates on any of the girls. Have not seen that part of the family in years cause we don't live near CA where I believe they ended up. Just pulled the obit for George TRUMAN Freeman (he was called Truman) and says he died in Delano, Kern Co., CA. He was born 4-25-1903 in Sallisaw, OK and died 1-7-1963 in Bakersfield, CA. Ruby married a Bowling of Michigan, Pat married a Newby and Janice was listed as a Welch from McFarland, CA. Hope this helps. Stay in touch. You can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
You don't know how much this means to me and my sister. Thank you so much for all that you do!
