I live in Wisconsin, and I've created memorials for most graves located in Ashland, Bayfield, and Price Counties. (The Price Co. info is courtesy of the Price County Genealogical Society).|
By adding all these memorials, I'm hoping I'll be able to help someone in their research. If you found something I added to Findagrave helpful, needs correction, or if you have a bio or photo to add, please feel free to email me.
If you need help with researching your family history, I might not be of much help, but I can probably point you in the right direction (of who might be of more assistance).
Sometimes it takes me a while to reply to e-mails, because sometimes I check my messages infrequently. But I try to get back to everyone as soon as I'm able.

Thanks for always processing my family links and maiden name requests in such a timely fashion! I know I request a lot of them, so I do appreciate all the work you do. I apologize if I've sent duplicate requests (which I'm pretty sure I've done a time or two). Thanks again! ~ Mary
|Elaine||RE: Arlo & Mabel Nicholson|
Hi Paul; Thanks. I would not want to say ever that someone is not related but I think the chances are fairly slim but I am also like most & have many unidentified relatives yet. My basic info. is that my Tanners are English, though I have not been able to trace where in England they came from. My beginning is in Brant Co. in Ontario. About 1866-71 some or most of the family went to Isabella Co. in MI where the majority stayed. My grgrgrandfather stayed there until about 1918 then left for MO it seems & died there 5 years later which I just finished that trail last year. He appears to be the only one that went to MI. A daughter went to WI. His brother had a son who was sent to a State School in MI when his mother died & his father appears to have 'abandoned' him. His name was Elmer Tanner & this is the man whose family I eventually traced through ND to WI & by then was using the name 'Tenner'. It appears he was not sure of which name was correct or his exact birth date etc. (from an old letter of his). This is the reason that I am somewhat doubtful of other Tanners there (that are related) though it would be wonderful.
It appears that Mabel B. Tenner who married Arlo Nicholson may have married a Dashner some years after his death & she may have died in CA. It appears correct but a little awkward since she is buried under the name of Nicholson (unless it had been on the stone before she married). One answer always makes for several questions.

|Elaine||Arlo & Mabel Nicholson|
Hi Paul; just wanted to say a thank you & Nancy Weise for all the work you have done for adding more to my family. Mabel Nicholson's maiden name was Tenner. She was the daughter of Elmer & Estachia (Stacia) Curtis Tenner. I am quite sure that Norman Nicholson in this cemetery would be his son. Elmer's correct surname is Tanner but through a series of life events it ended up as Tenner. Due to the 'life events' & change of name, it was a very long time before I finally found his trail to claim him as a member of our family. I am so pleased to have all the additional cousins & if any ever contact you, I would be very happy to hear from them. I live in Ontario, Canada. Thank you.
