Bio and Links
Bio Photo Updated: May 2013, I live in DeKalb Co., AL. I've surveyed and took pictures of several cemeteries around Rainsville area. I have added cemeteries from other states using surveys I have found online. If you see any memorials that you would like transferred over to you just let me know and I'll check to make sure they are not connected to my family tree before I transfer. If you see any mistakes that I've made let me know so I can correct them. When I know additional information, like nicknames, middle & maiden names that are not listed on the tombstone I will list the information on the find a grave memorial. If anyone knows additional information that I have not added you can email me and I'll add the info. But if someone see's a memorial of one of their relatives and want's me to remove the info I will. If anybody has a question about a cemetery around this area or a memeorial that I've added just email me and I'll gladly help the best I can.
My main Family tree surnames are: Brooks, Robertson, Garner, Jones, Elliott and Dean.

RE: Question about New Bethel Cemetery in Collinsville
The New Bethel is already on Findagrave, but it is in Cherokee County. The two McMurray memorials are listed on this site also. The one listed in DeKalb County is a duplicate of the one that is actually in Cherokee County. I wish that people would make sure where the cemeteries are actually located, before adding them.

It appears that this is a duplicate entry, since there is already an entry for Lester Britton Lowry at with the same parents. However the birth dates are different, with yours saying December 13 and the other entry saying December 18. I don't know which date is correct.

RE: Thanks!
You are welcome! I have a book called History of Union Cemetery and before I went out to the cemetery I looked up the Thomases to get an idea where they might be located to save me from wondering around aimlessley. That's where I learned of the four children who had passed away from this couple and that their graves were marked by just (4) rocks. No name inscribed. I could make a photo of the rocks but it would not be possible to tell which rock marked grave belonged to which child. Let me know if you want me to do that. Also, they are assuming these unmarked graves are those of the Thomas children. Not certain. Even though they are located in the spots right next to the Thomas parents. It's probably a good assumption that they do belong to their children who all died young.
