Dear Ancestor,
Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and the date are chiseled out
On polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who cares
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.

Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.

Free Home Cemetery - Plum City
Thank you for accepting the edits for the Free Home Cemetery in Plum City. I left you an earlier message about 46 of your pages that are placed in the wrong cemetery - St. John's in Spring Valley when it should be St. John's in Plum City. I made a virtual cemetery of those pages. They all since have a page listed in the correct center. The best was to correct this is to delete those 46 memorial pages as they are now duplicates. Thank you. Dan Geister Pierce County Historical Association

St. John's Cemetery - Spring Valley
Looking through the St. John's Cemetery in Spring Valley I discovered 46 memorials in that cemetery that are actually in St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Plum City (already created) and not in St. John's Lutheran Spring Valley. Could you please delete these memorials. Thank you. The link to them is here: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=vcsr&GSvcid=713915

RE: Deleted dark photos
Maybe there was a "glitch" during the original upload? You could try uploading one of them again to see if it posts properly this time. You choice.

Andrew Martin #10738349
Hi, would you please add this information to his bio:

Andreas Gottlieb Marti is found on his Swiss birth record. The U.S. Federal 1860 Census shows the Marti family living in Bond County, IL, but sometime after this the family name on records show the name as Martin. Andreas Marti becomes Andrew Martin. (Information courtesy of Kathleen Erickson, from the book "Sobottka" Amelienruh East Prussia to Pierce Co., WI 1815-2010.)

If you don't wish to add this information, would you please transfer Andrew & Bertha Martin's memorials to me?

Regards,
Nadeen
