Please feel free to let me know any corrections or additional information. But just so you are aware I WILL NOT add obits, or list living family members. |
Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and the date are chiseled out
On polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who cares
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.

Your memorial (#91175275) is a duplicate of an earlier memorial (#83752117). I don't know whether Kneeland is her maiden name, which she kept (unusual for the period, but not unknown) or if she also went by Reed. It is also possible that O.M. Reed was an adopted son. The cemetery records identify her as "Parmelia Kneeland" and the stone says "Permelia Kneeland". If you have further information, perhaps you can contact the creator of the other memorial.

Thanks for the transfer of the Schutta graves.

|Gen Harrigan Jonely||Thank you|
I appreciate you letting me know of the gravestone pictures for Mary Ann Kayser at Free Home Cemetery. I have just found your message from fall 2013. Sorry I did see it sooner...it has been awhile since I worked on our genealogy.
Gen Harrigan Jonely
Thank you for transferring her memorial.

Can you please help me find more info on my G'Grandfather, Emmett Spring

Plot: North Division
I'd like to find his headstone picture and locate any other family members that might be buried there too.
Do you know where I can find his obituary?
