I am of course interested in the Ritterhouse line. It is a fairly unique name, so it is either a hit or miss. The original German spelling is Rittershaus. Our German ancestor came over in 1848 through the port of New York City. The Ritterhouse name is found mainly in Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas, Arizonia, and Colorado.
