RE: Michael DUST

I've spent the last thirty-three years researching my DAVID DARST lineage. His descendants go by DARST, DURST, DIRST, DUST and even DUSK.

Son MICHAEL DUST shows up in the public record as DARST, DURST and DUST (he was married Michael DURST, enumerated in Meigs County, Ohio (1820) as Michael DARST, in Mason County, Virginia (WV) (1830) as Michael DUST and Lee County, Iowa (1850) at Michael DUST).

Since he lived the majority of his life as "DUST", I think that the spelling of his last name is correct. Additionally, all his descendants except one grandson (William Dusk) go by DUST.

I hope this helps.

Thomas Arnott Correction

Our daughter corrected me and the death index is correct his death was December 26, 2006. I had the wrong grandchild in mind! But thank you so much for posting.

Thomas Ira Arnott

Thomas Ira Arnott death year is actually 2005. I'm puzzled about why the death index have it listed as 2006. I know this for a fact because our daughter and granddaughter flew in to see him two weeks before he died and our granddaughter was just born in November 2005.

I'm not sure who has a copy of his death certificate but I'll ask around.

Your Dad
What a beautiful tribute to your father. I read it twice. Read it the first time and then went and looked at the pictures, second time I cried reading it.

Your Father
Hi Steve,

I've never written to anybody on here before regarding a bio they've written for a loved one, but the one you wrote for your father touched me very much. He sounds like he was a wonderful and amazing man and I'm sure he's very proud of you.
