Bio Photo THIS IS A HOBBY not my LIFE!!!
I Have been researching Family lines for over 35 years.
Please BE EXTREMELY PATIENT WITH ME.. I don't have time to get to everyone's request right away. I have a very busy Life. sometimes don't check my email for days and it piles up.. I Put them in a special folder and I will do them whenever I have a minute.I haven't lost your requests I just haven't gotten to them yet.. PLEASE BE PATIENT. ESPECIALLY RIGHT NOW...
IT will be done as I have time!! [On the same note I do not expect Instant Service from any of the volunteers on this site for anything I request either...] I'm FULLY aware that people are busy with their lives and this is a HOBBY

In the SAME light.. this is NOT a Genealogy Research project this is about the Cemeteries.
while I like to get more info and do link ups and maybe a SHORT bio page on the Person that lists an Obit and maybe little more, It is Wasteful to put clips from census and other large documents and 'family histories' into the Bio. this really is NOT the place for your Genealogy Family Research to be STORED. ~But if you cant find the spouse, or parents to link them. I'd be happy to put a list of deceased children and info on the unlinked parents and spouses in the Bio .. ~
[FAG: "the goal is not to "own" every memorial of those to whom you are related. The ultimate goal should be to have MEANINGFUL, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it."]

Regarding Transfers: PLEASE READ FINDAGRAVE's TRANSFER REQUIREMENTS before requesting a transfer.
IF YOU ARE DIRECTLY RELATED (read FAG DEFINITION! does NOT mean Every cousin, Aunt or Uncle!) to someone that I have entered and wish to request to have them transferred to you.. please use the Suggest A Correction (SAC) on any memorial to make request. PLEASE!~ USE THE SAC FEATURE TO REQUEST EACH ONE ~

PLEASE: If you request a transfer I MUST HAVE YOUR MEMBER NUMBER.. I do not have time to go look it up. PLEASE us Edit request for EACH of the persons you want. Do not a list them all in one.. I do not look up links!(no time)

(EDIT/SUGGEST A CORRECTION) I do not respond to "notes" left on this page for requests NOR do I respond to direct emails. (I MUST HAVE THE LINKS)
PLEASE INCLUDE THE FAG # that you wish linked. I WILL NOT DO ANY LOOKUPS! (Names are not required if you've checked yourself) Make the request as CLEAR as possible using spaces. I get a lot of mishmash, misspelled and incorrect numbers I cannot understand clearly. I'm NOT here to do figure out what it is You want. I get too many that are. So please be clear about your requests.
PLEASE NOTE.. CHILDREN ARE HOOKED UP BY LINKING THE PARENTS on CHILDREN's memorial. GIVING ME A LIST OF THE CHILDREN to "add" to the parents WILL Get you NOTHING. (I may not "own" their memorials in the first place)
PLEASE ONLY SEND ONE EDIT PER MEMORIAL.. (but I don't limit how many total individual requests come in from each contributor in a week/mo! just don't expect them over nite) Please DO NOT FORWARD your "COPY" from FAG either. (it may not reach me for one and it clutters my email)

Regarding Duplicates: (actually FAG policy is NO DUPLICATES) It is not my intention to create a duplicate on purpose. If you come across a duplicate I have made, please use the SAC and let me know. I'll be happy to remove it. Please don't create a duplicate of my memorials; I would rather you ask instead of creating a duplicate. Duplicates are the ones with the LATER date or number.

PLEASE DO NOT HARASS ME over Requests either (IE: multiple requests over and over and over with demanding/rude comments). it is RUDE and CHILDISH. THIS IS A HOBBY... not a REQUIREMENT for life..

Regarding Messages: (PREFERRED) Please contact me USING THE EDIT feature in any memorial. I don't always respond to "private" messages.

A BIG thank you to those who send SHORT personal Bio, death notices, obits and links to add to the memorials. They are wonderful additions that I love to Add.

{I reserve the RIGHT to delete ANY comment left on this page at ANY TIME!}

as of late I've been getting RUDE DEMANDS to remove my listings.. PLEASE REFER TO FAG RULES!!! if you can't be polite I won't listen to you!

BE PATIENT... I've had to let them pile up because of Classes and Family emergencies.. I WILL get to them eventually.

Kate Simmons McRee Ratterree
Hi Carol,

Daniel Vaughn mbr #47933768 here.

You posted a family photo on the Find a Grave memorial for Kate mem #10666614. Is that her husband, John Lowry, to the right and Lula and Mary in front of her? Kate's father-in-law was Leonard Lunsford Ratterree. My wife, Carolyn Ratterree, descends from Leonard's brother Henry Maben, mem #24566825. We have been to the Troy Cemetery and photographed all the Ratterree relatives we could find.

Are you related to the Ratterree's? If so, would you have any idea where the rest of LL and Sarah Ratterree's children are burried?

Sallie (D: 20 Feb 1893), Obion Co.,TN*
Lula (1873-14 Nov 1888), Obion Co.,TN*
Leroy (1870-7 Oct 1895), Kaufman Co., TX*
Martha (B: 1868) ??
Mary (B: 1864) ??

* Per ARP Church records.

Thank you for any consideration and for your work with Find a Grave. Please let us know if we can ever assist with photos or information in the Middle Tennessee area.

RE: Walter Pletcher
Hi Carol,

You are very welcome. I am glad I could help.

Thank you for understanding. It can get pretty crazy with all the requests.

Walter Pletcher
Hello Carol,

Sorry for the very late reply on your requests. Due to lack of time and so many requests it is hard to complete them all in a timely basis. Also I have been off line for a very long time due to personal reasons.

Thank you for the family connections for Walter Pletcher. I have added it to his memorial.

Gathright markers

I found your page here with requests. I just entered a few Gathright markers found in a private cemetery in Callaway County-

Thought you might like to cruise the names to see if there are any there you might be looking for. If any are your relatives, I'll be glad to transfer management to you.

One note- I called the cemetery the Gathright Cemetery, but I don't know that it has an official name. It doesn't come up on the map posted by the Callaway Historical Society. It's just a very small, neglected cemetery in a pasture with no public access.

Troy Cemetary
Carol, first thank you for all the time you spend researching cemeteries. My grandmother is interned in the Troy Cemetary, but with no headstone (her mother and father you have listed, Martha and George Carmack there have them). My question is, am I correct that the records of internment including 1927 were lost in a fire? I recall reading that on some site and a funeral home in the area also indicated that is what they understood had happened. Her married name was Annie Lee Stapleton.

Thanks again for all your work.

RE: rogers, jerry
No, he is not related to me that I know of. I was looking for another obituary and stumbled across this one. I will frequently add things that I find in the hopes that others will do the same. Maybe the obits I am looking for will just appear one day, as this one did.
