I grew up in Chicago on the West Side. I am also listed under "Tonia" on this site also. I joined Find A Grave to post burial records for family and friends that I grew up with, also in the hopes to update my family tree and find out where I came from. |

Are you referring to Mt Vernon VA or Mt Vernon OH?

Yes, this is true. As far as I know their youngest is buried, or ashes scattered, in California. I assume that his brothers are in Florida. I know where their daughter is buried in Missouri. I appreciate your work, Ms Richmond.

Thank you for trying to provide a photo of the headstone for my Great-Aunt & her husband. I had no idea that their children had not put up a headstone for them. One of their children was a con-artist, but another one was a well-educated and productive member of society. How interesting to find that she did not provide a headstone for her parents. The other two brothers, as far as I know were respectable, but not finacially able to pay for the headstone. I am really shocked and did not know this until today. My mother, Nora's niece, would be very sad about this as, I suspect, her two sisters would be as well. They loved their Aunt Nora who tried to be helpful in many ways to them and to her own family. In fact, it was her report of her parents and siblings which made it possible for as many of the siblings as we have to be located and placed on this site for other relatives to see. I appreciate your efforts on our behalf.

Thank you La Tonia for making the trip to Calvary in an effort to find this grave. I entered the information off the death certificate, and didnt realize at the time that there are two Calvary Cemeteries in the Chicagoland area. I called the cemetery in Evanston, and that is where he is buried...in an unmarked grave. Thanks again..without you volunteers, I would be missing a lot of information!

Sure, I'll go back and like I said, if I need to check with the office I will.

My pleasure to look for your requests. I was able to locate Sherman's marker today but not Trevior's. I was short on time and will go back and if I have to, I will ask in the office. You mention it is by the sign. There are two section signs, is that what you mean? One on the north end of the section and one on the south. I'll keep looking.
