Bio

I started out Hunting for Family Genealogy Ancestors in the Millennium year and progressed to finding their City of eternal rest. I advanced to finding their Grave sites and connected my Genealogy to findagrave .I later added friends and their family .

The Barber family has been linked back to the 1400's in England .The Cloud Family is linked back to 1557 in England .
William Cloud and William Penn came over from England in 1682 William Penns ship sunk and William Cloud picked up William on his Unicorne ship in 1682 and they became best friends .Family's of William Cloud are able to join the Welcome Society of PA. for a fee.
. . Bolton Station
I was researching William Barber today. My Aunt wrote me a letter about Bolton Station where Henry Barber was at years ago. I found Bolton Station w/pictures May 2015 after much research in Bolton, Connecticut. The very old Train Station was not in Bolton ohio as my Aunt wrote me.
. .Barbers Migration
The Barbers migrated N.Y. to Massacuesetts, Connecticut ,Virginia. and then built a Cabin in Ohio after their stint in the Revolutionary war they were given land by the Gov..
John James and Henry Barber and James ? eventually sent for their wives after the cabins were built on their free land.

James Barber must have met up with his Brother Henry Barber and also James Leonard in Steubenville Stark County after the war .
See Bio of James Leonard and James Culberson.

James Hiram Barber "United States Civil War Soldier Index 1861-1865".James was a Private on the Union side of the Civil War in Ohio. He was in the 81st Regiment ,Ohio Infintry under Hiram James Barber.
James moved from Virginia to Lawrence Township ,Stark Ohio which later became Medina then Bath Summit Ohio.

The 1788 act gave free land in the public domain to officers and soldiers who continued to serve during the Revolutionary War or, if they were killed, to their representatives or heirs. The resolution provided that a private or noncommissioned officer would be entitled to 100 acres of bounty land, an ensign to 150 acres, a lieutenant to 200 acres, a captain to 300 acres, a major to 400 acres, a lieutenant colonel to 450 acres, a colonel to 500 acres, a brigadier general to 850 acres, and a major general to 1,100 acres.

The City of Medina was thought to be in Stark but the Revolutionary War had mixed it up to be in Summit County. The mix up created a problem for Genealogist.

Most of my Memorials have much Genealogy and other information that well help you in your venture to find your Family History
