I have been doing genealogy since about 1975, and enjoy visiting cemeteries wherever I may be visiting.|
I always try and take photos of headstones that may or may not pertain to my families. I am originally from Edon, Williams Co., Ohio and have lived in Southern Utah since 1974. I will gladly transfer any memorials as long as they are not part of my family. I occasionally add photos to memorials that I have found in newspapers, history books, etc. If I have added a photo to your memorial that you don't want there, please notify me and I will gladly delete it. Some of the family names I am searching are: Chrisman, Knecht, Gillis, Glover, Kinnison, Beanblossom, Duke, Liggett, McCamis, Finley, Jeurink and Hatch.

Thank you, too! Apparently Guy had four wives, with Rose being #4.

That's OK, I was trying to catch up on and delete some old messages and I checked your message board and didn't see one from me, so I thought I might have forgotten!! (In the middle of genealogy, life happens...)

Did I ever send you the obituary???

Thank you, Connie! You're a genealogy star in my book!

Whenever I get a full name for a kinsman, I 'google' the name. I'm almost always surprised with what I come up with. I'm pretty sure he served in WW I, although not so sure about WW II (he would have been in the Navy 30 years by Pearl Harbor). The highest naval rank I know he attained was Lieutenant Commander.

I think either they can be merged via admins, or the newer created to be deleted. I think that's how the guidelines are set up. I haven't had to do any so far, but I haven't found that many in my travels that haven't been entered.

It's sad when people don't at least acknowledge a message. Makes you wonder if they are still alive.
|Rob||Donald Merritt or Malcolm Hatch?|
I reviewed this page: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=6310 for a part of my genealogy research for the Underhill Genealogy. Rachel A. Underhill is the youngest daughter of Isaac Cabery Underhill who is recorded in Underhill Genealogy Vol. 5, pg 337-8 (and Vol. 3, pg. 733, can be seen in Ancestry archives for subscribers). However, Rachel was not recorded as among Isaac's children in vol. 5 (it was published in 1980 and only 1900 Census microfilm records became available at the time).
According to the webpage, it said Rachel and Ray E. had five children and among them there seems to be two Donald M. Hatchs, each with a middle name of Merritt or Malcolm. This Hatch family is recorded in 1930 Census in Hamlet, Hayes Co., NE and in 1940 Census in Wauneta, Chase Co., NE. The listing shown only four children: Elmer, Donald, Frank, and Valora/Edith. The Donald Merritt was born 1923 and died 2012 and the Don Malcolm was born 1923 and died in 2003. Which one is the correct Donald as a son of Rachel and Ray Hatch? Thank you for your time.
PS - Please PM me. Thanks.

|James Snow||Gottlieb Brunnhofer|
A Gottlieb Brunnhoffer is in death records of Lucas Co. Ohio as died Aug. 20, 1872 at Toledo. DOB in the record is 1834. a 'G. Bruhofer', whose age matches Gottlieb Brunnhofer's year of birth closely, is enumerated in the 1870 Lucas Co. census with an 'Annie' (possibly his wife). His occupation is 'Drugist' Annie is keeping house. Both are born Germany in the census record; no children are enumerated. Note that Margaret Brunnhofer was not exactly two years old when her mother died, as is noted in her obituary (she was about 13 months old). Margaret's father (according to her obit) died five years after her mother. The DODs for Eliza and Gottlieb don't match the five year span, but they are almost four years separated. I believe that this is our Gottlieb Brunnhofer. I also believe it is possible that Margaret was born in Lucas Co. and that her mother may have died there.
