|Randy Clark||Winston Churchill Memorial|
Irish, to take a man to task for his actions or beliefs while he lives is one thing. To post an insult on his memorial after he is dead is quite another. Why don't you consider unbesmirching Ireland by removing your post on Mr. Churchill's memorial page?
|Find AL Graves 1||RE: William Wilks, # 45484440|
Sorry for taking so long to answer your question.
I, actually, do not know where William Wilks was born. I added this memorial after I filled a photo request for a Wilks in this cemetery. If this or any other of the Wilks I created are your relatives, I would be willing to transfer the memorials to you. Sorry if I have caused you any confusion.
|Big $TICK||COMPLAINT YOU RECEIVED ABOUT J. DUFFEY PHOTO . . .|
Just found an older email you had sent me about 'someone' contacting you about a picture that I had used on John Duffey memorial page you originally created. I had found this picture some years ago. For the record, that same photo appears on the WIKIPEDIA home page for John Duffey today-at the following link: www.wikipedia.com-JohnDuffey
You will note there that no credit is given to whoever the photographer was of the photo in question. I suppose because WIKIPEDIA also notes the use of 'several disclaimers' due to "no known sources" for much of the information/photos (?) that appears on their home page of Mr. Duffey.
You may want to inform the person that has contacted you previously that they should visit and read all these disclaimers related to John's WIKIPEDIA home page, and then they need to next contact WIKIPEDIA about any perceived problems with anything (pictures, etc.) they believe they are the intellectual property owner of. Their 'fuss' is not with you or I, and the problem is their's; only WIKIPEDIA can address their grievances, etc.
They can also discuss in a 'public forum' any and all other personal grievances they may have relating to the posting of the picture in question from the home page of John Duffey by using the following link to the WIKIPEDIA TALK PAGE en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:JohnDuffey There, anything (comments, complaints, questions, etc.) related to anything that appears on John Duffey's home page is open for public discussion.
And I would also be amiss if I didn't mention to you this evening that you have used one of my pictures (the close-up of John and his wife's bronze gravestone/plaque) on the memorial page you created for Nancy L. Duffey. Please add my name and member number to that picture, while removing yours.
Your attention to this request is appreciated.
