I will be the first one to go out of his way to help you out any way I can. I am more than happy to make additions, corrections or to transfer memorials to you providing it falls within the Find a Grave guidelines. It would really help if you would include your F.A.G # if you want someone transferred to you. Common courtesy would dictate that a "please" and a "Thank you" would be in order and much appreciated by myself. Treat me as you would like to be treated. I will work WITH you but I don't work FOR you. Ingratitude, rudeness as well as demands will put you at the bottom of my "To do" list.

New Headstones-Whikaker Cemetery
I'm new to this website and don't know much about Find A Grave. I'm not good at genealogy research, but I have found it to be a lot of fun. I was recently at Whitaker Cemetery in Monterey again. I noticed all these nice, new headstones, particularly in the Reeves and Riddle families. When I went seven years ago to the cemetery there was storm damage and many of the headstones were destroyed. I would like to know who is paying for these new headstones so I can thank them for being so thoughtful to my ancestors. Does the City of Monterey pay for this? Is there a history club or historical society in Putnam County that raises money for new headstones? Also, whenever I visit Whitaker Cemetery I always see flowers placed on the graves of my ancestors who have been deceased for over 100 years. I never thought someone would be nice enough to place flowers on an ancient grave of someone they never knew. I'd like to thank the people who are buying and placing these flowers.

Thanks for any information. Sorry, but I'm new to this and might have to have a few things explained to me.

William & Eleanor Gower - 16878449 & 16878440
Michael - Thank you so much for transferring the family memorials to me. I requested photos quite some time ago and was happily surprised today when I received the notice that a fellow volunteer added them. I was working on a different part of the tree, but with these photos my focus has shifted across the ocean.

Living in California, USA, it's difficult to trace dates and burials in England. There are still graves of parents to find and link, but with the help of people such as yourself, perhaps it's time to take another look.

I hope you don't mind my requesting the transfer of other Gower memorials you have created. It's so much easier to keep things straight when I can update them myself instead of having to repeatedly impose upon you. Again - many, many thanks! ~ Nancy

Hello and thank you so much for what you've done here. Very interesting and answers a lot of questions.

One I have, though, is that there was a note saying someone could trace back my Grandmother's mother to 1845. Wondering what that means and who it is who has that information. How can I get the info?

Any help you can give me all be gratefully appreciated.
