Researching and documenting my family history is one of the most important works of my life. While looking for my family - I photo cemeteries to be able to help others. I feel everyone should know as much about their ancestors as possible. Through my research I have been able to spend quality time with my sister, Janet Bertram and my mother, Norma Davidson Bertram.(Mother passed away on April 6, 2013 and we really miss her helping). We travel the great state of Texas visiting ancestors graves and photo documenting as much as possible. Findagrave is a wonderful place that has brought lots of people into my life I would never have known otherwise. I like filling photo requests when possible. We need to all keep up the good work. Thanks to all who are working so hard.|
After experiencing a vulgar language email from an East Texas Grandma after denying a transfer request - I find it necessay to add the following statement. Find a Grave has guidelines for this site. I will follow those guidelines from this point on. "Transfer requests must follow Find A Grave guidelines. Be specific on your relationship. Must be the four generations as listed in the rules. I will make corrections, additions, & family links when asked. Use the Edit tab, then the Suggest A Correction option & include your email address."
My photos may be used for family trees, but please ask first. I have found many of my photos on a Find A Grave members Ancestry.com file with no credit or permission being given. Please read the rules for photo use in the Find A Grave help. Many hours are spent taking photos and the photographer should be given credit.
I recently became manager of memorials created by Charlie Crocker in East Texas. Please send edits and corrections to me for updating.
NEW FINDAGRAVE FEATURE
"FindaGrave has added a new editing function to all members. Check the 'Edit' tab on your profile page for pending edit requests for your memorials."
You currently have one or more such edit requests on your profile page. Most edit requests are no longer sent from FindaGrave with an email notice to the memorial creator/current manager. You have to go to your profile page and check the Edit tab to see the requests for additions or changes to your memorials.
Please check your profile page so that the requested edits can be processed. FindaGrave has made this change to facilitate rapid handling of multiple edit requests.

Thank you Sandra, I just can not pass up children. They need to be linked to someone in their family. An older person will be remembered and talked about because they lived full lives.

|Doug McBroom||Gracie ROWELL CAMPBELL|
Morning from Virginia. Are you related to Gracie ROWELL CAMPBELL, your Find A Grave memorial #119156221? A Grace CAMPBELL is in Elder Jacob Abraham ROWELL's obituary as his sister living in Tomball TX 1971. She married "J.P. CAMPBELL on 17 Mar 1921 in Harris Co TX. We haven't found a cousin who personally knew the family, but we all have her as "Gladys Grace ROWELL", daughter of Jacob Everett ROWELL and Martha Jane STATON, who married 8 Aug 1910 Ozark AR. Most of Jacob's children moved from AR to the Houston TX area, so we thought maybe your memorial is our "Gladys Grace". Appreciate any help you can provide. Thanks....Doug McBroom (ROWELL Family)

First, my family and I want to say thank you for posting these family members memorials on findagrave.com. Without your kindness, we would have never known where they were buried.
Second, Would you please grant my family and I your permission to use your memorial photos on our family tree with Ancestry.com? Full credit would be given to you with along your findagrave.com member # and stating permission was granted by you. Again thank you for your time.
Sadie Mae Hayman Walker is my 2nd Cousin, 1x removed.
Thank you, Glenn Massey & Family
