Bio Photo NOTE: I have been given management of work created by dee (inactive) for the Klein Memorial Cemeteries. Contact me with any edits.

Researching and documenting my family history is one of the most important works of my life. While looking for my family - I photo cemeteries to be able to help others. I feel everyone should know as much about their ancestors as possible. Through my research I have been able to spend quality time with my sister, Janet Bertram and my mother, Norma Davidson Bertram.(Mother passed away on April 6, 2013 and we really miss her helping). We travel the great state of Texas visiting ancestors graves and photo documenting as much as possible. Findagrave is a wonderful place that has brought lots of people into my life I would never have known otherwise. I like filling photo requests when possible. We need to all keep up the good work. Thanks to all who are working so hard.

After experiencing a vulgar language email from an East Texas Grandma after denying a transfer request - I find it necessay to add the following statement. Find a Grave has guidelines for this site. I will follow those guidelines from this point on. "Transfer requests must follow Find A Grave guidelines. Be specific on your relationship. Must be the four generations as listed in the rules. I will make corrections, additions, & family links when asked. Use the Edit tab, then the Suggest A Correction option & include your email address."

My photos may be used for family trees, but please ask first. I have found many of my photos on a Find A Grave members Ancestry.com file with no credit or permission being given. Please read the rules for photo use in the Find A Grave help. Many hours are spent taking photos and the photographer should be given credit.

I recently became manager of memorials created by Charlie Crocker in East Texas. Please send edits and corrections to me for updating.

NEW FINDAGRAVE FEATURE
"FindaGrave has added a new editing function to all members. Check the 'Edit' tab on your profile page for pending edit requests for your memorials."

You currently have one or more such edit requests on your profile page. Most edit requests are no longer sent from FindaGrave with an email notice to the memorial creator/current manager. You have to go to your profile page and check the Edit tab to see the requests for additions or changes to your memorials.

Please check your profile page so that the requested edits can be processed. FindaGrave has made this change to facilitate rapid handling of multiple edit requests.

Hi Sandra, Lottie Walton Whitaker is a 3rd cousin, her paternal grandmother Sarah B. Clark Walton is the daughter of Gilbert M. Clark brother of my maternal great grandfather, William M. Clark. Thank you for creating the memorial for Lottie, if you have a picture of her please consider adding it to her memorial. I have requested that she be linked to her parents, Gilbert M. Memorial 6696215, Michael McAneny
Hi, Sandra ~ I just found this memorial for Michael McAneny, a distant relation of my husband. The correct birthplace for him is Johnstown (as in flood), Cambria County, PA. If you found something w/ one of those odd abbreviations, I can see how one might interpret the city & county as you did.

RE: Womack memorials
Also, you can see my extensive research of the Womack family at

http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~nivek/individual.html?id=593

I hope you will decide to defer to a descendant to care for these memorials. Thank you.

RE: Womack memorials
They are my 4th great-grandparents. I am the one that placed the Citizen of the Republic of Texas markers for them in about 2008 before I moved out of Texas. When I last lived there the property owner was mowing the cemetery, spraying for weeds, and attempting to keep his cattle, etc. out of the cemetery. It seemed the best that could be done at the time and would at least keep it from decaying further. Perhaps there is now a different owner or he has not been able to keep up his initial efforts.

I prefer to own memorials for a number of my direct ancestors if possible, unless another descendant is caring for it. Many people have no view for aesthetics and I think it is appropriate when an descendant is interested to defer to them. I also sponsor my direct ancestor memorials, but I do not like to do this if someone else owns it.

If you are not a descendant, I hope you will consider deferring.

Thank you.

Newton Co. photo George Gee
I am a Vermont Civil War uff, and am presently working on a project to identify the last resting places of many of our "Old Soldiers. George Gee is one such patriot. May I use the photo you contributed to his F.A.G Memorial, to post on the Vt. C.W.site?( www.vermontcivilwar.org)

You would receive credit for this.
Thank you for your consideration.

RE: William Martin
Thank you for your prompt response. It's done -- I created a memorial for Mary Elena Thomas with links to her parents and spouse, William Alexander Martin, and sent edit suggestions to the other two contributors.

Sarah Margaret Breland
Sandra, I am a grandson of Sarah Margaret Breland (#102822198). I noticed on this page that it indicates she has a daughter named Sarah Margaret Breland that is also buried in this cemetery. The individual indicated as her daughter, Sarah Margaret Breland) is in actuality her niece. The niece, Sarah Margaret Breland, is the daughter of Clayton Caldwell Breland (#66250424) and Myrtle Breland (#6650424). Clayton Caldwell Breland is the son of Sarah Margaret Breland (#102822198)

Updates
Thanks for all the updates you've done so far. I'm working on my William Nelson Williams line this week and may have a few more update requests headed your way since you seem to manage most of Denson Cemetery entries that I am interested in.

Have a good weekend!
