I have been married 57 years but we have no children. I was an elementary teacher for 21 years, quitting in the spring of 1972 to stay home and care for a nephew for five years. After he became school age, I went back to work in 1977 as a police dispatcher and continued in this work for approximately ten years. I began my family research shortly before quitting this job. I took over publication of a family newsletter when the original publisher was no longer able to continue. I enjoy exchanging information with other researchers.|

|Patricia Loyd||RE: Henry Lee Jordan|
I have attended New Prospect Baptist Church for 49 years, and Henry's youngest daughter, Dorothy and her older siblings and their children are and were in the Ladies Bible Class which I teach. Dorothy was buried Saturday, and I was asked by family to make a bulletin for her service. If you look at her obit at Bunch Johnson, and Stat. newspaper, his name is listed as Leon. Carol Moore Massey (granddaughter) and her siblings (Henry's grandchildren) affirmed that "Leon" was his name not, "Lee", according to his daughter Dorothy (their Mother) and to (his correct name was actually) list his name as "Henry Leon Jeremiah Jordan", seems this was customary in this community to name boys, with three names, example, my husband's grandfather, Henry Robert Coles Loyd, and brother John Ralph Preston Loyd. I asked about the family bible, which they did not have possession of. I found all the children, except, Connie Jordan, who was born and died in 1914 (I searched the graveyard and could not find her grave) Many grandchildren and great grandchildren live on this homeplace today, which is at the end of "Prospect Church Road" and Hwy. 115 North. One surviving grandchild "Juanita B. Jordan", Leonard's oldest daughter born in 1923 still lives on this Jordan property and she affirmed that this was her grandfather's correct name. They sure had large families in North Iredell!

|Joni (Hedrick) Dietz||RE: McLaughlin photos|
You're welcome, Joan. Very happy to help. We were there just a short time so, only able to take a few pics. Mom and I took our cousin, visiting from out of state to Turkey Creek and Zion Lutheran. Her Dad is Elmer William McLaughlin.

I went to the cemetery and there is no headstone. The burial plot is Ector County Cemetery, RoseHill, Row 9 plot 24. Sorry.

Hello, Good news! Found it.. Uploading now!
|michelle Barnaby||Josie Irvin|
I looked through the records and could not find Josie Irvin. I even walked the cemetery. Any chance that Josie is buried in Montmorenci Cemetery?
