Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been married 57 years but we have no children. I was an elementary teacher for 21 years, quitting in the spring of 1972 to stay home and care for a nephew for five years. After he became school age, I went back to work in 1977 as a police dispatcher and continued in this work for approximately ten years. I began my family research shortly before quitting this job. I took over publication of a family newsletter when the original publisher was no longer able to continue. I enjoy exchanging information with other researchers.

When requesting photos, please remember that the person who took the photo owns the copyright to that photo. Posting to another website a photo for which you do not own the copyright, or have permission to use from the copyright owner, is a violation of copyright laws. My many photos are placed here for other researchers to use in their personal files---not to be claimed as one's own and posted elsewhere without permission.

Thank you for researching the plot number for Oma. She's related to me. I'll add it to her memorial. All the best, Lynne

Hi Joan,

You must not have known that Dorothy R. Clark Hoffman (1900-1988) was married first to Leon Stanford Johnston on May 15 1920 in Atlantic, Cass County, Iowa before she married Russell Milo Hoffman.

Leon Stanford Johnston was born in Mitchell County, Iowa on November 24, 1894 and died in Los Angeles County, California on July 31, 1946. He is buried in Atlantic, Cass County, Iowa.

Regards,

Logan
Find A Grave contributor Joan Viney has made a suggestion to you regarding your Find A Grave memorial for Emmarilla Logan.
Link to memorial: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=75201484

Their suggestion:
-------------------------
Although her name is inscribed on her husband's gravestone, Emmarilla Cassandra (Bruton) Logan is actually buried in Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora, Missouri and has a gravestone erected there. Therefore, this memorial is a duplicate of Memorial #20465464.

Then this is not a duplicate but needs to be marked as a cenotaph. I will send to findagrave admin and request it be done.

When I saw the time "Aunt Bea" lived, I immediately thought how wonderful it would have been to have known her and to listen to her stories about the changes in the world she knew.

Thank you so very much for posting her story. It made me feel as if I did know her and I could begin to imagine what she saw.
Find A Grave is a wonderful service and I have found many special stories of ancestors through what you all do.

Again, Thank you so very much. Pam
