Bio and Links
Bio Photo My Wyoming Valley (Luzerne County, PA) roots run deep, from the PA Dutch that settled the southern part of the valley in the the early 1800's to the Connecticut Yankess that settled the northern part of the valley in the late 1700's. Also in the past are some Welsh roots and more PA Dutch from Bucks, Berks, and Lehigh counties.

I am researching:

The Moser, Reeser, Kerschner, and Kurtz families of Berks County, PA

The Clouse, Carver, Mason, Gilman, Wheelock, Keithline, and Frear Families of Luzerne County and Wyoming County, PA. Carver, Gilman and Wheelock came from New England.

The Peter, Peters, Hess Families of the southern Wyoming Valley in Luzerne County that migrated from Lehigh (formerly Northampton) County, PA

The Keithline and Kichline Families of Bucks County,PA that settled in the southern part of the Wyoming Valley, Luzerne, PA

RE: Andrew Mantanye
Kurt, I am related to Andrew Montanye (as we spell it) from 3 branches of my family. Andrew's daughter Eliza married James Sickler. My grandfather Myron French is their decendant.
Andrew's son David married into the William Jones family, my grandmother Dorothy Jones is their descendant, then Dorothy married Myron French, they were my mom's parents. By the way William Jones's father was Samuel Carver Jones who was born in Carverton, and named after the preacher I assume.
Then on dad's side another Montanye married into the Denmon family ancestors, perhaps through the Schooleys, I don't have details about that one yet.

Capt. John Whipple
May I use your photos of John Whipple's gravestone for my online family trees and for personal family albums if I credit you as photographer?

RE: Find A Grave Changes
You will find out the contributors that do their research and then just automatically accept theirs, but some you have to research and then decline. Nice part is you can ignore them while you are doing the research. Happy Hunting!!!

Find A Grave Changes
A friend told me about this change a couple days after this was deployed. I have sent an edit/s to you so I thought maybe you didn't know about it. You might want to pass it on to your friends. thanks!!! ~Peggy

New "Automated" system for "Suggest a Correction/Submit an Edit"

******Please Note******
New System for Memorial Edits deployed by FindAGrave on 12/5/2013

Go to your Contributor/Profile page.
Look in the upper right corner. You should now see a tab called "Edits" - check there to see if any have been submitted to you. Then just review and accept.

Way easier for doing updates to names/dates/places/plot numbers/links. If you don't approve within 21 days it will automatically accept it.

You still will get e-mails to add info to bio section.
