Always Looking for info on many names in the Decatur & Macon County, Illinois cemeteries and also Marion and Jefferson County, Illinois so I check each cemetery listing on a regular basis. Have been doing genealogy since 1982 and have found that every time I think I am about done, I find I have just started. This does become addictive but sure enjoy doing it from year to year

Thanks to all who took the time to let me know that I should have been entering the unmarried female childrens names into the Last name area instead of the maiden name area. You're never too old to learn and I appreciate the comments. Hope I got them all changed now.
Thanks again.

RE: Maiden Name info
And thank you for taking the time to do the changes! You've done a great job photographing some pretty old markers so clearly and would not like to see your work duped down the line just because of a misplaced last/maiden name (yes, it DOES happen all the time). Keep up your fabulous work!

Maiden Names
Maiden Name
Maiden name of a married individual, if known (otherwise leave blank); the maiden name is automatically italicized and should only be used if the individual was married and took the spouse's last name as their new last name. If the deceased was never married, then the last name should be placed in the "Last Name" field, NOT in the "Maiden Name" field.
